Way Mechanical is seeking a Project Manager to join our team! Way is a mechanical contractor located in Irving. We specialize in commercial air conditioning, plumbing, piping, and the maintenance of these systems. Requirements:

Responsibilities:

· Oversee all day-to-day operations for project(s) assigned.

· Attend turnover meetings between Estimating and Operations for the projects you have been assigned.

· Attend and be prepared for Bi-monthly Project Review Meetings.

· Work with Purchasing Department to ensure all vendor purchase orders are correct.

· Monitor all material and equipment releases for on-time deliveries. Update the control log weekly and provide a copy to the field superintendent.

· Work with the BIM department to ensure all drafting schedules are being met and adjust accordingly. Notify the Production Manager and BIM Manager of any red flags immediately.

· Approve/amend, then approve Subcontractor and Vendor invoices weekly.

· Generate/Monitor RFIs and their Status. Keep the RFI log updated weekly.

· Monitor and assist in job site QA/QC.

· Oversee completion of OCIP/CCIP/ROCIP forms for Way and Way’s Subs.

· Prepare and complete the Close-out docs for your project. This will include as-builts, O&Ms, warranty letters, etc.

· Mentor and train Project Engineers.

Responsible for preparing estimates for TxDOT and local municipality roadway projects including earthwork, soil preparation, concrete paving and flatwork, drainage, bridges, and asphalt paving. Will have accountability for completing bid proposals, performing takeoffs, attending pre-bid meetings, performing site visits, contacting suppliers and subcontractors, leading bid reviews, entering quotes, and closing out estimates. On successful projects, will perform conforming of the estimate to prepare transition to accounting and project management software, and will work with the project management team to prepare purchase orders and subcontracts.

• 10+ years experience in the Heavy Highway industry required, with more than half of that being in estimating.
• 6+ years experience with Heavy Bid estimating software required.
• 3+ years experience estimating TxDOT projects required.

Job Title: JOBSITE/FIELD SUPERINTENDENT

Department: FIELD SERVICES

Position Summary:

To provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects, including coordinating sub-contractors, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. Field Superintendent is responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control, jobsite safety and jobsite cleanliness .

Job Scope:

The Project Superintendent is solely responsible for and will be held accountable for the timely completion of the project and ensuring that the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes. Field Superintendent schedules all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors, as well as ensures their completion of work within time allowed. The Field Superintendent is responsible for the coordination of work directed in the field, provide work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications. Conflicts or revisions to the plan shall be communicated with the project team (i.e. project manager, architect, engineer, consultant, and owner) for mutual resolution, prior to execution of work that deviates from the approved plans. The Field Superintendent establishes and enforces jobsite quality control programs to ensure quality completion of construction. The Field Superintendent does not have authorization to engage in monetary agreements (subcontracts, change orders, work authorizations). All request for monetary agreements must be communicated to the project team for consideration prior to work performed.

Essential Functions:

• Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.
• Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.
• Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
• Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.

Supervisory Responsibility:

The Field Superintendent supervises all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on a daily basis. This supervision ensures adequate manpower is available for each task and compliant work performed. This position is responsible for monitoring project security personnel. Field Superintendent also supervises all Assistant Superintendents.
