The construction Laborer will perform a wide range of physical labor tasks in support of workers on the construction site(s) mainly within the Central and North Florida areas. Duties to include but not limited to:
- Assists skilled workers as assigned. This may include jobs such as demolition, carrying lumber, or construction.
- Unloads materials that are delivered such as lumber or bags of cement and distributes them to the appropriate location as identified by the supervisor, project plans, or specifications.
- Prepares layout area where construction will take place by properly measuring, marking, or recording openings or distances.
- Prepares tools and materials for skilled workers such as mixing cement or preparing to floor for installation.
- Cleans and prepares specific areas of Jobsite as assigned. This may include digging trenches; erecting scaffolding; cleaning up rubble, debris, and trash; or removing hazardous materials.
- Operates a wide variety of hand and power tools.
- Directs traffic near, in, or around work zones.
- Motions equipment operator to assist with alignment, movement, or adjustment of machinery, equipment, or materials.
- Cleans Jobsite at the end of the day, ensuring trash is properly disposed of and materials or equipment are properly stored.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Our client, a growing national real estate development and construction firm specializing in self-storage facilities, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Preconstruction to join their leadership team. This role is based in Lake Mary, Florida , and relocation support is available for the right candidate.
This is a high-impact opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary preconstruction team, drive project excellence from concept to groundbreaking, and work closely with executive leadership. While prior experience in self-storage is preferred, the company is open to dynamic candidates from adjacent commercial sectors who demonstrate initiative and a hunger to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all preconstruction efforts across 3-5 projects simultaneously in various phases of development.
- Develop and refine project estimates, value engineering strategies, and material buyouts.
- Oversee design development, maximizing Net Rentable Square Feet (NRSF) and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Manage and mentor a team including design, detailing, permitting, and material coordination staff.
- Establish initial schedules and budgets, ensuring risk areas are addressed early.

General Purpose:
The Equipment Operator I, II, and III operates a variety of automotive vehicles, light and heavy equipment, boats, and various hand and power tools in the construction, maintenance, and repair of stormwater management facilities. This work is performed under intermediate supervision the incumbent performs a variety of routine work within established procedures and receives detailed instructions on new projects and assignments; work is reviewed periodically through observation, completion of work orders, and review of results achieved.
Examples of DutiesEssential Functions:
Operate a wide range of automotive vehicles, power, and hand tools that may include backhoes, forklifts, tractors, street rollers, street sweepers, compressors, dump trucks, front-end loaders, trenchers, backhoes, drills, quickie saws, and jackhammers.
Transport equipment and materials to and from job sites; transport maintenance workers to work site; haul refuse, brush, rock, materials, and equipment.
Repair potholes, roads, and curbs; dig, form, pour, and finish concrete work; raise and lower manholes; Clean stormwater treatment and conveyance systems; dredge sand and muck from aquatic sites, remove trees, brush, and other debris from roads; clean storm drains; clean and repair storm water drains.
