Duties include:

Requirements:

• Engages technical specialists when appropriate throughout the process.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist team with Standard of Care and Construction Defect Analysis
- Log and organize documentation from technical evaluations, testing and instrumentation, quality control and quality assurance, bidding, contract administration, construction observations, building science, material science, and other components/systems related to building design and construction.
- Perform data review and analysis utilizing analytical skills with acute attention to detail and ability to see the bigger picture.
- Analyze contract documents and other data, and report findings to other team members.
- Assist team with creation of narratives, demonstratives, presentations and other deliverables for clients.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering (architectural, building science, civil, structural, or mechanical); Master's degree preferred, from an accredited university or college.
- Expected graduation date before September 2027.
- Eligibility and desire for professional license (professional engineer or registered architect) preferred.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Blue World Construction is seeking highly motivated, self-starters for the position of Construction Technician. The desired candidate must have previous hands-on construction experience with construction-related field activities such as process piping, working on heavy construction sites, exposed to HDPE butt/electro-fusion welding, above and below ground pipe installation, basic masonry skills, welding of pipe and structural steel and repairs, rigging and fabrication, and working varied shifts in the field under various climates. This is a true 'jack-of'all-trades' position. The ideal candidate must have a good work ethic, a willingness to learn new skills, have a team mentality, and must be safety-oriented in all situations and environments. The candidate will be required to take direction from the project manager(s) and site superintendent, and work independently as well as potentially lead small crews in various tasks. This position requires an ability to perform various types of skilled labor as well.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Construction Experience – 3-5 years preferred in remedial, process or civil/site construction, process installation, and site work preferred; 1 year required of piping and construction
• Driver's License – Required – in good standing
• Office is in Houston area, but be willing to travel around TX as needed - per diem and mileage compensation provided when more than 1.5 hrs from Houston office
• Education – high school or equivalent required
• Experience - we need multi-talented individuals that have experience, and are willing to gain additional experience in installing process pipe, HDPE, welding, rigging, equipment operation, installing equipment, carpentry, painting; HDPE fusion beneficial
