Summary: The Construction Laborer is responsible for layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures and fixtures in residential buildings. The Construction Laborer installs cabinets, shelving, drywall, and insulation while also adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks and hinges. A successful Construction Laborer is hardworking, reliable, and detail oriented.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operating a variety of hand and power tools.
- Inspecting places and conducting general repairs or maintenance.
- Cleaning and preparing construction sites as needed.
- Ability to erect scaffolding, fencing, and ladders.
- Removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials.
- Digging trenches along with other site requirements.
- Moving materials and equipment to and from construction areas.
- Following all safety procedures on the job site, including all PPE requirements, and reporting violations immediately to management.
- Maintaining a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis.
- Loading and unloading construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.
- Reporting incidents immediately to safety, foreman, or project manager in accordance with incident reporting procedures established by the company.
- Traveling out of town to work on remote job sites as directed by management.
- Reading blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements.
- Taking measurements and calculating the size and amount of material needed.
- Replacing plumbing fixtures and light fixtures.
- Other duties as needed.
- High school diploma.
- Proven experience as construction laborer.
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
- A willingness to always follow safety guidelines.
- Strong understanding of basic math.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel.
- Ability to work on a military installation and pass a background check.

- OSHA 10/30 certification, or the ability to complete.

This is a fully on-site role at Fort Tyndall Air Force Base. Must have ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift a minimum of 20* lbs. Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Monitoring and maintaining progress, and ensuring safe, high quality and timely completion of construction contracts within the approved project budget; 2) Enforcing contract compliance with all contractual requirements regarding project delivery, project schedules, and time and cost management; 3) Implementing the government Quality Assurance (QA) Program; 4) Determining the need for and propose contract modifications and substitution of materials; and 5) Preparing cost estimates for modifications and participate in negotiations as required including reasonableness of time extensions and impact of modification on project schedule. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Work Environment: Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa is located in a harsh environmental setting with adverse weather conditions for many months of the year (excessive heat, humidity, and rain) and working in areas populated by poisonous snakes, plants, and/or insects, and contagious diseases and poor air quality, chemical handling areas, and damp and unheated spaces. The work may require extensive work shifts of 12-16 hours a day and more than a 5 day workweek. Generally, indoor work location has power, water, heating and air conditioning, although outages should be expected. The incumbent will be required to live on the camp, where living quarters are a container living unit (CLU), which may be very cramped with the requirement to share bathroom facilities. Initial living quarters may be a tent. Fatigue may occur from long work hours and uncomfortable living conditions.
The position may be required to provide immediate contingency support requiring a physical and immunizations deemed necessary for the environment in which this support is provided.
Incumbent is entitled to 25% Post Differential pay.

Work Environment: Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa is located in a harsh environmental setting with adverse weather conditions for many months of the year (excessive heat, humidity, and rain) and working in areas populated by poisonous snakes, plants, and/or insects, and contagious diseases and poor air quality, chemical handling areas, and damp and unheated spaces. The work may require extensive work shifts of 12-16 hours a day and more than a 5 day workweek. Generally, indoor work location has power, water, heating and air conditioning, although outages should be expected. The incumbent will be required to live on the camp, where living quarters are a container living unit (CLU), which may be very cramped with the requirement to share bathroom facilities. Initial living quarters may be a tent. Fatigue may occur from long work hours and uncomfortable living conditions.
The position may be required to provide immediate contingency support requiring a physical and immunizations deemed necessary for the environment in which this support is provided.
Incumbent is entitled to 25% Post Differential pay.

Quiktrak is looking for 1099 Audit and Inventory Inspectors to perform field audit inspections in your area. Our contracted inspectors travel to various locations to capture photos, gather data, and upload information using their smartphones or computers. While most inspections involve automobiles and equipment, some may also include properties, product inventories or property condition assessments.
