BIZ Talent Solutions is assisting our client, a leader in high-end residential landscape construction, in their search for a Project Estimator .
Position Overview
The Project Estimator plays a critical role in our project development process, collaborating with departmental teams to generate accurate, timely, and competitive bids. This position supports a range of residential projects of varying scope and complexity, and involves close coordination with Field Supervisors, Project Managers, and Department Managers.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple bids simultaneously. This individual will have strong technical knowledge of construction processes, the ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications across multiple trades, and a proactive mindset toward improving systems and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the estimating process across all company divisions: landscape construction, maintenance, irrigation, carpentry, and masonry.
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and details to create comprehensive and accurate estimates.
- Perform material and labor take-offs, identifying potential gaps, inconsistencies, or missing information in bid documents.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to clarify project scope and timelines.
- Support project planning by contributing to the development of timelines, budgets, logistics, and procurement strategies.
- Research materials and construction solutions; source pricing and lead time information from vendors and suppliers.
- Review and manage RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings during preconstruction.
- Assist in the purchasing process and setup of new vendor and subcontractor accounts.
- Conduct occasional fieldwork, including site visits, layout assistance, condition surveys, and field reports.
- Track and manage bid documentation including estimates, change orders, purchase orders, and vendor billing.
- Contribute to improving company culture, estimating standards, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with Managing Principals and Project Managers to ensure alignment between bids and project execution.
- Support and mentor junior estimating or administrative staff as the team grows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, Engineering, or related field .
- 4–8 years of experience in estimating and/or project management roles across residential or landscape construction disciplines.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural, landscape, and shop drawings.
- Skilled in digital estimating and take-off tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Excel, Google Sheets).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and confidentiality.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in an office setting and on active job sites in various weather conditions.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to walk job sites and perform field documentation as needed.
Compensation is estimated between $115,000-$130,000K based on experience.

Job Description
The Field Services Representative General (construction) is responsible for the delivery of world class service to our customers by performing operation and maintenance functions on the Company's distribution assets including, but not limited to, water mains, services, and hydrants.
- Efficiently performs repairs on below ground assets including mains, services, etc. within the required specifications.
- Performs activities to maintain distribution assets including flushing mains, hydrant upkeep, service boxes, etc.
- Installs assets including mains, hydrants, services, and meters.
- Maintains Company facilities including snow plowing, tree work, road repair, property upkeep and dam maintenance.
- Performs customer service work including meter installations, valve operations, meter reading, and investigative work.
- Performs customer service activities associated with service delivery and the maintenance of customer accounts.
- Performs call before you dig activities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Performs cross connection inspection and testing in compliance with the State Department of Health.

This includes rules and regulations in the Company Safety Manual, OSHA regulations and other state, federal, or governing body's rules and regulations.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Six months or more of related experience.
- Valid Driver's License, CDL preferred.
- Proven mechanical abilities.
- Must possess aptitude to work standby schedule. This includes responding outside of normal business hours to respond to urgent service delivery issues. This could include performing maintenance of customer accounts, resolving problems related to distribution system or other urgent service delivery problems.
- General computer skills.
