Responsible for examining, evaluating and providing quick diagnoses in order to administer immediate and proper medical care. Responsible for providing basic medical support including CPR, AED, ventilation, controlling hemorrhaging, etc. The Paramedic also performs more invasive techniques to stabilize the patient’s condition. Supervision will be provided by a certified pedorthist or qualified healthcare provider to ensure appropriate oversight and patient safety. The Certified Pedorthist is a health care professional specifically educated and trained to manage comprehensive pedorthic patient care. They provide the application of a pedorthic device for the prevention or amelioration of painful and/or disabling conditions of the foot and ankle. Pedorthic devices include therapeutic shoes, shoe modifications, partial foot orthosis for midfoot and more distal amputation, and foot orthoses. These may include devices to control the subtalar joint, up to the junction of the gastrocnemius and Achilles tendon.
