Job Description
Serco is seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support the Immersive Missions and Training Solutions teams collateral programs in Albuquerque, NM.
This position will support the ISSM in securing systems that support collateral business operations at the Albuquerque, NM facility. You will lead cybersecurity policy implementation, conduct risk assessments, and support system certification and accreditation activities.
In this role, you will:
+ Conduct system and network assessments to identify security deviations from policy or acceptable configurations.
+ Perform compliance audits and vulnerability assessments to support cybersecurity objectives.
+ Support program control processes to ensure risk mitigation and accreditation readiness.
+ Assist in the implementation of DoD security policies and related standards (e.g., DoDI, NIST 800-53) and recommend process enhancements.
+ Validate security requirements and recommend safeguards.
+ Support Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) activities and document results.
+ Prepare and maintain Security Plans and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
+ Oversee periodic reviews of system audits and ensure corrective actions are completed.
**Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will have:
+ High school diploma with 5 years of cybersecurity and/or Information Assurance (IA) experience.
+ OR a Bachelor's degree with 3 years cybersecurity experience.
+ Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
+ A foundation in security audits, system assessments, and policy compliance.
+ IAM I or IAT II certification.
+ Experience supporting cybersecurity documentation and accreditation processes.
+ Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
+ Experience with vulnerability scanning (ACAS, Nessus, etc.)
+ Ability to work on-site in Albuquerque, NM
+ Ability to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)
Additional desired experience and skills:

We are seeking an experienced cybersecurity/cryptography professional that is passionate about operationally-oriented research and development at the intersection of cryptography and vulnerability research. We are looking for a motivated individual that can understand and develop modern cryptographic solutions that can be applied to a variety of technologies. These multidisciplinary teams are addressing the most complicated national security problems facing our government sponsor. As part of the team, you will engage with work across the technology spectrum, including embedded, desktop, enterprise, and mobile systems, as well as globally connected networks of networks.
You will help to mature an existing program supporting US government mission needs through collaboration with your team and sponsor to identify creative, novel, and context-appropriate solutions. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an ISSO to join our Security Classified Team. This position is located in Albuquerque, NM.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Conducts ongoing vulnerability assessments and security audits to identify cybersecurity risks in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Energy (DOE), and Intelligence Community (IC) standards, regulations, and cybersecurity policies/procedures.
