Our Fortune 500 Client is seeking a Data & Reporting Analyst for a long-term contract. This nimble team empowers IT by transforming how we engage with external software vendors and assets for the company. This is a lead level position that is responsible for managing simple to complex software license compliance data and reporting to maximize resources in various departments or lines of business. Through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable technologies and industry requirements, this role will be responsible for creating and producing reports to provide insights to determine operational and financial impact as well as trends and opportunities.
This role is in the Information Technology organization and requires a thorough understanding of licensing terms, hardware and software technologies. This position is considered a subject matter expert in software licensing reporting and analysis and mentor to others.

Responsibilities:

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

Demonstrate a consultative and client-oriented approach to data analysis and interpretation to be able to answer questions for the business, perform audits on different datasets, and identify anomalies found within the data.

Interact with internal teams to ensure software licensing terms and metrics are in accordance with business requirements and systems/tools implementations.

Experience Requirements:

3+ years of experience working with ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, SNOW, Aspera or other similar discovery tools

Must have experience working in large enterprise environments

Highly preferred knowledge of on-premise and cloud-based software licensing metrics and End User License Agreements, for a multitude of software vendors

The Education Data Analyst works as part of a deadline-oriented, fast-paced team consisting of consulting and operations staff that works together to provide superior service to state education agencies and school districts in the areas of special education management systems, data warehousing, federal reporting, and other programs. The Analyst will be responsible for reviewing, formatting, importing/exporting, transforming, validating, or modeling data with the purpose of understanding or drawing conclusions to drive strategic and operational decision-making.
This role is suited for a more experienced analyst who is comfortable handling both high-level data analysis and hands-on tasks like processing imports. Additionally, while this role does not immediately require direct supervision, the ideal candidate should be open to leadership opportunities in the future.
Position Requirements:

Project Management. For smaller projects, the Analyst will manage directly, setting scope, managing schedule, issues, risks, and collaborating with internal and client stakeholders. For larger, more complex projects, the Analyst may work with a dedicated project manager.

Documentation. The Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that all data projects have clearly documented scope and elaborated requirements to manage and validate data engineering.

Data Analysis. The Analyst will be expected to profile data sets, recognize the existence or absence of patterns in the data, map to and extend PCG's Data Schemas, document validation and transformation rules, design and execute import, transformation, and export processes, and explore analytics and visualizations.

Data Engineering. This role requires an understanding of programming logic, although no experience with a specific programming language is required. The Analyst will be expected to write scripts, queries, formulas, and procedures to automate data ETL processes.

Communication Skills. The Analyst must communicate well with clients, team members, and ancillary resources. This includes both presenting ideas or findings, as well as drawing out client or team member key concerns or other relevant information.
Specific Responsibilities:

Maintains data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, etc. for EDPlan processes and related functions

Ensures client success by working with clients to resolve issues, provide user support, and collaborate with clients in design specifications for report requests.

Prepares data analysis and agendas for client meetings

Travels to and presents at status update meetings to clients, as needed

Documents client discussions, gathers requirements, and engages technical team as it relates to emerging data structure and reporting needs, in close partnership with the project leads

Software implementation activities including data migration, data integration, site preparation, and project management

Oversees and performs data QA, testing, and validation

Assists school districts in uploading the data into our system
Required Skills :

Strong analytical skills and careful attention to detail, including the ability to analyze and organize data

Proficiency in MS Office products: Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Expertise in creating/using scripts, macros, formulas, and other similar data wrangling skills and techniques

Excellent organizational, oral presentation, and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects while also contributing to team leadership and fostering a collaborative environment
Preferred Skills :

Previous experience utilizing Visio, MS Project, Zendesk, and JIRA

Research and project management capabilities

Previous experience utilizing Python, SQL, SAP Business Objects, SIF Unity, or other data platforms
Required Experience :

Bachelor's degree and/or prior data analysis experience

5+ years data analyst experience, ideally in a role with both technical and client-facing responsibilities

Experience with supervising or mentoring team members is a plus, or a willingness to take on leadership in the future

1+ years of schools (K-12), special education and/or Medicaid claiming experience is desired
