Data & Reporting Analyst

Our Fortune 500 client is seeking a Data & Reporting Analyst for a long-term contract. This nimble team empowers IT by transforming how we engage with external software vendors and assets for the company. This is a lead level position that is responsible for managing simple to complex software license compliance data and reporting to maximize resources in various departments or lines of business. Through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable technologies and industry requirements, this role will be responsible for creating and producing reports to provide insights to determine operational and financial impact as well as trends and opportunities. This role is in the Information Technology organization and requires a thorough understanding of licensing terms, hardware and software technologies. This position is considered a subject matter expert in software licensing reporting and analysis and mentor to others.

Responsibilities

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.

• Identify and define data quality improvements.
• Ensure compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by performing quality data audits and analysis.
• Coach and mentor business partners and team members on software licensing effectiveness.
• Become a trusted software licensing advisor through the creation of business partnership.

Experience Requirements

• 7+ years of analysis and reporting experience in Software Asset Management, Software License Management, Software Compliance Management, Software Audit Defense or IT Asset Management
• 3+ years of experience working with ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, SNOW, Aspera or other similar discovery tools
• Must have experience working in large enterprise environments
• Highly preferred knowledge of on-premise and cloud-based software licensing metrics and End User License Agreements, for a multitude of software vendors
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills. Experience managing and working with internal stakeholders and external vendors, who have direct and indirect relationships
• Ability to manage across organizational boundaries, with the goal of understanding drivers and influencers

The Senior Associate, Asset Data Analytics & Reporting is part of the Asset Management department and works closely with Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage Operations and Engineering in process, data and performance management, and plays a key role in the optimization of RWE's asset performance.

Role Responsibilities:

• Execute and prepare mass changes in the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) area

• Become an expert in the data collected through our SAP PM module

• Provide master data support to cross-functional business process owners and other team members

• Participate in Test Cycles and User Acceptance Testing sessions for process enhancements to ensure data accuracy

• Support the continual development of process improvements and performance analysis to help the Operations organization make better data-driven decisions

• Work closely with global teams to align standards and structures around data collection, reporting, and processes

• Support colleagues from Engineering and Operations with the maintenance and upkeep of O&M master data such as maintenance plans, task lists, functional locations, equipment records

• Design, document, deploy, and maintain analytical reports utilizing data manipulation techniques to track operational KPIs

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and performance trends for executive reviews

• Explore opportunities to drive improvements in the field of daily operations execution

• Identify and implement process automations for automatic data processing, to ease various manual and redundant steps

Job Requirements and Experiences:

The Education Data Analyst works as part of a deadline-oriented, fast-paced team consisting of consulting and operations staff that works together to provide superior service to state education agencies and school districts in the areas of special education management systems, data warehousing, federal reporting, and other programs.
