Position Summary:

The Associate Vice President (AVP) of Data Analytics is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall strategy, development, and execution of the hospital system's data analytics initiatives. The AVP will lead a cross-functional team focused on driving data-driven decision-making, improving the patient experience, optimizing operational efficiency, and achieving clinical and quality metrics across our healthcare system. This individual will ensure that the use of data and analytics aligns with the hospital's business objectives while adhering to regulatory standards and enhancing data governance, data literacy, and artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and execution of the organization's data analytics strategy, aligning with business goals and the organization's mission of providing high-quality healthcare.
  • Act as a key thought leader in the organization's data and analytics transformation, with a focus on Snowflake as the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Epic analytics tools, Tableau, and other key platforms.
  • Work closely with the Data Governance Council to define and enforce data stewardship, standards, and policies across the organization.
  • Implement processes to ensure high-quality, accurate, and reliable data across all analytics platforms.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and IT leadership to understand key business needs, translating them into actionable data analytics solutions.
  • Establish strong partnerships with Epic, Workday, UKG, and other key system owners to ensure effective integration of analytics tools and data pipelines.
  • Act as the primary liaison with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize and align analytics initiatives with the hospital system's goals.
  • Develop and lead organization-wide initiatives to increase data literacy, enabling stakeholders at all levels to understand and leverage data in decision-making.
  • Drive adoption of self-service analytics tools (e.g., Tableau) and create educational resources and training programs to foster a data-driven culture.
  • Work closely with clinical, operational, and executive teams to define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with strategic objectives, including clinical quality, operational efficiency, patient satisfaction, and financial health.
Qualifications:

Education:
  • Master's degree in Data Science, Healthcare Administration, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
  • 10 years of experience in data analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a healthcare setting.
  • Proven track record of leading data analytics teams in complex, data-driven environments.
  • Experience working with enterprise data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Epic, Tableau, etc.).
  • Extensive experience in healthcare analytics, with a deep understanding of clinical and operational metrics, regulatory requirements, and patient outcomes.
  • Experience implementing data governance frameworks and fostering data literacy across an organization.
Skills & Knowledge:
