**The Responsibilities**
+ Develop integrated consulting and technology solutions for our clients
+ Combine extensive knowledge of data science market practice in an insurance context and innovation to build robust analytics processes that deliver insights to decision makers at the point of decision making
+ Develop and implement data strategies for clients
+ Design, build, test and run data science processes for clients

**Qualifications**
**The Requirements**
+ At least 5 years P&C insurance experience
+ At least 3 years predictive modeling experience
+ Experience working on a data science or analytics team at an insurance company or consulting firm
+ Strong analytical skills including ability to draw conclusions and identify trends from data in a logical, systematic way
+ Solid experience with data manipulation
+ An understanding of machine learning and statistical theory
+ An understanding of how to utilize technology to optimize outcomes within an organization
+ Awareness of main data enrichment sources and open source data assets most valuable to insurance companies
+ Awareness of Insurtech activities in this space
+ Capable of leveraging past experience and expertise to adapt to current projects and challenges outside of core skill set
+ Comfortable navigating ambiguity and developing innovative solutions

**Compensation and Benefits**
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
**Compensation**
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $150,000 - $230,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.

**The Opportunity:**
CACI is seeking a highly experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to support U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) in Doral, Florida. This position is contingent upon award of the USSOUTHCOM Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) contract.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and justify the performance of algorithms that implement novel, network-based image processing capabilities.
+ Perform extensive detailed modeling and simulation, including quantifying the relative impact of candidate solution architectures.
+ Supervise development of standalone applications and/or major software subsystems and components while adhering to software best practices.
+ Develop detailed technical plans with tasks, schedule, and labor estimates.
+ Create automated tests to rigorously test and evaluate algorithms and software capabilities.
+ Works with Project Managers to establish objectives for AI systems
+ Analyze data gathered during tests to identify strengths and weaknesses and implement changes to algorithms to improve performance
+ Troubleshoots and addresses problems with deployed AI to improve warfighter experience
+ Documents all steps in the development process
+ Remains up to date on the latest innovations in machine learning
+ Take state of the art models developed internally and from the community, use them in production to solve problems for our customers and taskers
+ Work with models currently in production, identify areas for improvement, improve them using retraining and hyperparameter searches, then deploy without regressing on core model characteristics
+ Work with product and research teams to identify opportunities for improvement in our current product line and for enabling upcoming product lines
+ Utilize massive datasets to develop both generic models as well as fine tune models for specific products
+ Build scalable ML platform to automate our ML service
+ Be a representative for how to apply machine learning and related techniques throughout the engineering and product organization
**Qualifications:**

+ US Citizen with active Secret level clearance
+ Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field
+ 5-8 years of relevant experience in related field
+ One or more certifications: Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer, AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty, Databricks Certified Machine Learning Professional, GIAC Machine Learning Engineer (GMLE), IBM Machine Learning Professional, or Microsoft Certified Azure Data Scientist Associate
+ Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments while supporting multiple projects
+ Operates with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Experience with change management tools and ITSM platforms (ServiceNow)
