Overview:
The Director, Public Safety oversees the entire Security Operation, Loss Prevention, Communication Center, Emergency preparedness, including Knott's Berry Farm, Soak City, Knott's Hotel security teams, Station K, and PCO teams while ensuring the safety and security of Park guests, associates, and all Company property.
**Salary details: $103,200 - $137,600/yr. based on experience**
Responsibilities:
+ Ensure company and staff follow all appropriate public agency requirements, compliance guidelines and State Penal Code laws, including permits, notification procedures, accident investigations and inspections.
+ Provides direction and guidance to all direct reports. Managers' performance issues, address disciplinary situations, promote associate recognition and appreciation programs. Provides significant input into promotion, demotion, and termination decisions. Ensure staff follow proper company training requirements and that department training material is up to date.
+ Oversee development and implementation of established safety, security, and loss prevention policies and protocols through appropriate department managers; provide direction to internal staff and park associates regarding Safety and Security awareness, training and programs.
+ Work collaboratively with governmental and regulatory agencies such as the Buena Park PD, OCFA, City of Buena Park, Count of Orange and State of California agencies to ensure the safety of our guests and associates and compliance with regulatory requirements.
+ Prepare and administer annual division operating budget; make overall adjustments (labor, ODC, OCG) throughout the year to meet division specific goals.
+ Address guest comments that come in through email, letters and the company Voice of the Customer (VOC) program and follows up with associates.
Qualifications:
**Education:**
Bachelor's degree, field of study- Criminal Justice, Public Admin
**Work Experience**
10+yrs
+ Successful history of increasingly responsible leadership roles; preferrable Security & Safety roles.
+ Knowledge of State and local laws and OSHA, Workers' Compensation, criminal codes and powers to arrest.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
+ Ability to work with a schedule that includes working late-evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

The Sales Engineer - Public Safety position reports to the Director of Sales Engineering on the Sales Engineering team _._ This opportunity is well suited for an entrepreneurial technologist who enjoys interacting with customers, has a healthy sense of adventure, and enjoys traveling.
This position is eligible for 100% remote work depending on location.

**ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Provide pre- and post-sales technical support including system planning, customer training, system optimization, etc.
+ Become an expert on the operation and application of Silvus' unique radio and networking solutions and its advantages over competing technologies.
+ Prepare and conduct product demonstrations for customer visits and equipment evaluations.
+ Visit customer sites to provide technical support and deliver training.

+ Design and implement new operational workflows, track progress with a project plan, consider stakeholder impacts, and apply change management methodologies to drive successful adoption
+ Participate in trial appearances as a Records Custodian on behalf of Snap
+ Handle inbound and outbound calls from law enforcement, providing helpful and empathetic support within policy guidelines

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Compensation
In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The Law Enforcement Operations ("LEO") team are digital first-responders protecting Snapchatters and the public at-large. We're looking for an Enablement Lead to join the LEO team! You will play the role of an internal consultant, solving problems where needed to enable a high performing operations team. You'll collaborate with a swath of cross functional partners including the Legal, Policy, Product, and Engineering teams to continuously improve our operations and protect Snapchatters. This will be an individual contributor role.
What you'll do:
+ Lead scaling and optimization initiatives that drive operational excellence
+ Execute key projects within the Law Enforcement Operations (LEO) and Safety Operations roadmap end-to-end, from initiation to change management/adoption
+ Partner with Legal, Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to identify process, policy, and tooling discrepancies and collaborate to develop effective solutions
+ Anticipate project risks, provide escalation management, negotiate with decision makers, and balance community and business needs against technical constraints
+ Create and deliver training and communications, and build out LEO's change management program
+ Drive opportunities for improvement to enhance workflow comprehension, creating and enhancing knowledge management documentation, delivering trainings, and resolving gray areas or gaps
+ Use data to influence decisions, proactively drive change in an ambiguous and ever-shifting prioritization environment, and support the function's evolution
+ Develop organizational objectives to execute on company strategy, and track against predefined expected key results
+ Effectively communicate complex ideas to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, both verbally and in writing
+ Develop and track internal and external business metrics related to new projects and capabilities to monitor operational performance
+ Monitor for, and help address, internal escalations which requires working atypical weekday hours, some weekend days, and/or holidays each month
+ Influence without authority and mentor with kind, clear, and direct feedback to dotted line reports across our global organization
+ Be willing and able to work with sensitive, offensive, or disturbing issues and graphic content
+ Effectively communicate with external audiences, like law enforcement
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

+ Ability to manage ambiguity and work independently with minimal supervision
+ Demonstrated ability to lead others in managing competing priorities
+ Strong analytical skills, including working with large data sets to solve business problems, and providing practical business insights (Advanced EXCEL, Google Sheets, Looker, etc.)

Minimum qualifications:
+ 5+ years of management consulting experience, strategy and operations experience, or a related function
+ Bachelor's degree
Preferred qualifications:
+ Experience working in Trust & Safety, security, law enforcement, compliance, or a related field
+ Bachelor's degree in business, criminal justice, political science, sociology, public administration, international relations, computer science, or another related area of study
