**We are seeking a Sr. Director, Investor Relations for our Foster City Campus.**
The Sr. Director of Investor Relations will be responsible for evolving and executing a strategic Investor Relations program that is already recognized as best-in-class in biotech. The Sr. Director will manage all day-to-day responsibilities for Gilead's investor relations program, serving as the primary contact for coverage and targeted sell-side analysts and for most buy-side holders and targets. The Sr. Director will manage a team of five, and interact routinely with Gilead's senior executives. The position reports to the Senior Vice President of Treasury and Investor Relations.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**
+ Manage quarterly earnings process and deliverables including script, deck and Q&A materials
+ Design and execute an impactful investor engagement program, including investor conferences, non-deal roadshows, analyst days, annual meeting, on-site meetings and other events
+ Deliver concise and impactful communications to support Gilead participation at scientific conferences and pre-clinical or clinical data updates
+ Support executives' participation at investor conferences, including preparation of Q&A materials and travel to conferences
+ Conduct peer and competitive analysis of clinical pipelines and business models
+ Innovate and evolve IR program but always in full compliance with all regulatory requirements surrounding investor communications
+ Deliver highly responsive and accurate communications to in-bound inquiries from all stakeholders (sell-side, buy-side, retail, employees, executives)
**Skillset:**
Excellent attention to detail, with very strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Expert in excel and PowerPoint, with ability to understand and interpret financial statements and valuation models. Must be able to independently develop clear, concise and error-free word, PowerPoint and excel documents. Ability to work independently, lead meetings and work cross-functionally.
**Specific Education and Experience:**
+ Typically requires a BA degree in Finance, Science or relevant field and minimum 14 years of relevant experience or an MBA with 12 years of relevant experience and/or CFA.
+ Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry (and in analyzing and summarizing clinical data) are preferred but not essential
+ Experience in investor relations is preferred but not essential
The salary range for this position is: $243,100.00 - $314,600.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. **Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:**
Investor Engagement & Market Presence
+ Serve as the primary US-based spokesperson for institutional investors, analysts, and other capital markets stakeholders.
+ Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key investors across the US, including biopharma-specialist funds, generalist funds, and crossover investors. Lead non-deal roadshows, conference participation, and investor events in North America, working closely with the Head of IR and executive leadership.

**Investor Relations Strategy & Messaging**
+ Partner with the Head of IR to design and deliver the global investor relations strategy, tailoring it for US investor audiences.
+ Ensure consistent messaging across all investor communications including earnings releases, investor presentations, Q&A briefings, and ESG reports.
+ Translate complex scientific, regulatory, and commercial developments into clear, compelling investment narratives.
**Financial and Market Communications**
+ Support 6 monthly earnings cycle: preparation of results materials, scripts, Q&A, and post-results investor follow-up in the US time zone.
+ Drive analyst engagement: manage coverage initiation, consensus tracking, and respond to analyst queries.
+ Develop high-impact investor day agendas, presentations, and senior leadership briefings for US investor events.
+ Coordinate with Corporate Communications and Legal/Compliance on disclosure, ASX listing rule requirements. and support ADR Based engagement.
**Capital Markets Intelligence & Benchmarking**
+ Monitor peer company performance, sector news flow, and relevant biopharma indices to contextualize investor conversations.
+ Provide insights to the Executive Team and Board on investor sentiment, sector trends, valuation drivers, and competitive positioning.
+ Develop and maintain US investor targeting frameworks to broaden and diversify the shareholder base.
**Internal Stakeholder Management and Collaboration**
+ Partner with the CEO, CFO, and Head of IR to prepare senior leaders for investor meetings, conferences, and earnings calls.
+ Work cross-functionally with Group Finance, R&D, Commercial & Medical, Company Secretary, and Legal to gather information, ensure disclosure accuracy, and create a two-way flow of market intelligence into the business.
+ Collaborate with Sustainability/ESG teams to incorporate ESG performance and reporting as required
+ Contribute to the any other projects as require from time to time.
**Position Qualifications and Experience Requirements:**
+ Post-graduate qualification in relevant discipline essential.
+ 10+ years of experience in Investor Relations, Equity Research, Corporate Development, or Investment Banking, with a strong focus on biopharma/pharma/healthcare.
+ Deep understanding of US capital markets and institutional investor landscape.
+ Track record of leading investor engagement programs and building long-term investor relationships.
+ Exceptional financial literacy, including comfort with P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and valuation modelling.
+ Ability to distill complex scientific/regulatory information into clear investment narratives.
+ Strong written, oral and storytelling communication skills, with executive presence and board-level influencing skills.

**A Day in the Life**

Reporting directly to the Head of Client Care, the **Client Care Director** willbe responsible for client service and capital raising support on behalf of CBRE IM's flagship US enhanced return fund series, in addition to project managing the launch of the latest vintage.
The Client Care group (CCG, also known as Client Relations or Investor Relations in other firms) centralizes investor communications under one 'front line' department acting as a center of excellence and the first port of call for investors. Each team works on a group of funds/mandates working alongside the portfolio teams and the client solutions teams in executing strategy, delivering on promises to investors, and supporting fund growth. A key focus will be the facilitation and implementation of the Client Care initiative across the Americas platform.
Additionally, the Client Care group is responsible for communications to investors, providing a centralized workflow to fund teams, capital raising teams, collaborating with Legal counsel/fund administrators/fund operations on fund documents, and client on-boarding, partnering with teams across the organization for internal/external requests, in addition to special projects with the wider global CCG and other business lines.

· Serve as a Product Champion, senior point person, dedicated to the US enhanced return fund series but with the flexibility to support other products as needed.
· Product team lead with responsibility for supervision of assignments/priorities, technical guidance, review of work, coaching, training, developing, delegating and mentoring junior team members.
· Expected to contribute ideas to the development of strategy for the capital raise efforts.
· Recognized as an expert within the client support and capital raise area.
· Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends solutions/best practices.
· Work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations but across functional areas to solve complex problems that have a broad impact on the business.

Reporting directly to the Head of Client Care, the **Client Care Director** willbe responsible for client service and capital raising support on behalf of CBRE IM's flagship US enhanced return fund series, in addition to project managing the launch of the latest vintage.
The Client Care group (CCG, also known as Client Relations or Investor Relations in other firms) centralizes investor communications under one 'front line' department acting as a center of excellence and the first port of call for investors. Each team works on a group of funds/mandates working alongside the portfolio teams and the client solutions teams in executing strategy, delivering on promises to investors, and supporting fund growth. A key focus will be the facilitation and implementation of the Client Care initiative across the Americas platform.

Requirements
Investor Relations Analyst Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in investor relations, finance, or a related analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation creation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated and reliable, with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of the energy sector or related industries is a plus.
