As an Assistant Construction Superintendent (known internally as Senior Field Representative), you will manage assigned Construction Projects to support the Facilities and Operations Services (FOS) Facility Asset Management (FAM) team at the Disneyland Resort (DLR).
You will report to the Construction Manager of Facility Asset Management.
Responsibilities/You Will
+ Ensure projects are scoped and performed with an emphasis on, quality control, budget management, and schedule control.
+ Manage each assigned project from creation to completion.
+ Complete projects within the approved budget and schedule with the highest quality and in the most cost-efficient manner.
+ Monitor the project safety program in close coordination with Disneyland Resort (DLR) Safety.
+ Manage final approval for contractor-submitted safety plans and compliance with the project safety plan. Includes compliance with all regulatory Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, corporate governance requirements, and Disneyland Resort (DLR) safety requirements.
+ Attend pre- and post-bid scope reviews/ constructability reviews on projects in design phases.
+ Develop project implementation strategies and schedules with the support of Facilities and Asset Management (FAM) Project Schedulers.
+ Manage the project schedule, establish project planning tasks to ensure schedule compliance and man- loading requirements of the contractor to achieve the desired completion date.
+ Coordinate operational constraints and job goals together to achieve a seamless project. Including managing communication with Partners, Clients, and Operations Management regarding project status, schedule, financial, and guest impacts.
+ Communicate project information to lines of business clients and all impacted Resort divisions and Operations Management.
+ Be located on the project site for most of the day.
Basic Qualifications/You Will Have
+ 4+ years of Construction Supervisor experience of multiple commercial construction projects.
+ One year of proven experience with concise technical writing in an academic or work environment.
+ Experience working with principal trades (excavation, concrete, steel framing, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
+ Academic or work experience interpreting drawings (Architectural drawings or engineering drawings).
+ Flexible with work schedule, including different shifts, weekends, and holidays.
+ Engage with multiple levels of Cast Members and Employees, while promoting agreement on the team.
+ Identify opportunities to balance urgent requests with long-term team goals.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience with several software programs such as construction management software and Microsoft suite.
+ Competent in OSHA Regulations.
Required Education
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Preferred Education
+ College Degree with an emphasis in project management
+ Special classes in building construction (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP), estimating, reading contract documents)

The hiring range for this position in California is $94,200.00-$126,200.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

Who we’re looking for…

• Provide daily support to all Performers

• Lead and provide staffing supervision and issue mitigation daily

• Perform and abide by duties described in Company Manager Handbook

• Liaison between RWS Leadership and Cast

• Provide organization and synthesis of technical and artistic information from RWS and Client

• Provide suggestions to best utilize available resources and/or procure additional support as needed

• Communicate needs to troubleshoot technical and operational logistics to General Manager(s) if applicable 

• Assist RWS Leadership and Producer with administrative duties for logistics and programming 

• Create and maintain a professional relationship with the Client Management and ensure all interactions abide by RWS standards

• Be supportive of Raise Your Experience initiatives throughout the season

• Oversee and manage Talent to perform all production elements properly and safely

• Abide by all Timelines presented forth by RWS Producer and Project Manager

• Prepare and submit Daily Operational Reports to the RWS Entertainment Manager and Producer

• Acquire and demonstrate awareness of both RWS’ and the venue’s safety procedures including Emergency Action Plans, Injury & illness Prevention Plans, Accident Reporting, and additional protocols.

• Assist with overall production needs as reasonably requested

• Address onsite concerns ahead of Daily Operations and perform emergency troubleshooting as needed.

• Accountability for care and tracking of all performance collateral. All to be properly and securely stored when not in use.

• Complete all duties to the satisfaction of the Company

• Follow the Company chain of command.

• Follow all given RWS and Client infectious disease control and safety protocols as may be necessary.

• Adhere to all RWS Handbook guidelines, including dress codes and codes of conduct.

• Ensure that the talent signs the daily sign in sheet and that it is passed off to the Entertainment Manager by end of day on Sunday.

• Ensure talent is following approved Show Direction per RWS and Client and follow up as necessary

• Ensure that the talent has completed a warm up

• Other duties as needed.
