Procurement Representative Intern is a vital and key component to the Lockheed Martin Supply
Chain management team.
The selected individual will:
Status, manage, expedite, coordinate, and be
accountable in ensuring all parts and hardware are delivered on-time to support Lockheed Martin's production line.
Additionally, the individual will need
to strategically look forward (120 days) and forecast the delivery of critical hardware to mitigate manufacturing impacts, work and resolve supplier and engineering issues, and implement proactive strategies to assure timely and compliant hardware deliveries.
Another responsibility will be to present to
Senior Management regarding hardware shortages and delays, and recovery plan / strategy - including chart deck creation for the presentation.

Other activities will include with being involved in ensuring timely placement of Purchase Orders
to suppliers, monitoring and expediting hardware deliveries, and working technical and quality
issues at the suppliers.
The candidate will be able to broaden their communications skills through their interface the
various Lockheed Martin Programs and the Southeastern Material Acquisition Center (SEMAC)
buying team, as well as being a valuable member of the programs multi-functional
team (Engineering, Quality, Finance, Program
Management, Contract, etc.) to ensure the program is meeting their Company and Customer
commitments.
Basic Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in in Supply Chain, Management, Technical Related Degree, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.

Responsibilities:

Purchase Order Management

  • Own the on time submission of purchase orders, and manage the purchase order accuracy
  • Understand the production schedule and work with vendors to define and pull forward delivery dates
  • Communicate with the vendor on a weekly basis to get the PO delivery report and update in the system
  • Measure vendor KPI in different metrics
  • Coordinate with the warehouse to get ready for the upcoming higher priority shipments

Sales Order Management

  • Leverage the reports and dashboards to monitor the order fulfillment status
  • Work with the internal departments to achieve fulfillment goal
  • Ensure the EDI and shipment information is received and updated accurately and on a timely manner

Product Management

  • Request and upload the product attributes according to customer’s request and compliance
  • Assist with inventory control and perform inventory activities for different channels
  • Communicate with different departments regarding product launch status
  • Reviews shortage report and monitor the replenishment products level and reorder

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, or other closely related field. Master’s
  • Experience: 2-3 years experience in logistics, supply chain or  warehouse operations. 
  • Skills and Abilities: Organizational skills with ability to adapt, multi-task and prioritize and to meet short term/changing deadlines while responding to multiple instructions and directions; A self-starter with strong time management skills is highly .
  • Other: Experience with inventory management system, ERP system or database applications. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Decision Making: Exercises moderate independent judgment over the development and execution of plans for accomplishing work, as well as the communication of product production and logistics.

Job Details

As an Operations Intern at Cencora, you'll be provided the opportunity to leverage your academic understanding in a real-world, business driven environment. Ultimately, we aim to develop the future supply chain leaders necessary to enable our growth within an accelerated period of time. During our 10-week summer program, you will work closely with a mentor while gaining experience leading teams and learning different business areas and functions within our distribution centers. At the end of the summer, our interns report out to their Leadership Team on key accomplishments and learnings from their internship experience. Interns are expected to be onsite at one of our distribution centers listed below.

Start Date: June 8, 2026

End Date: August 14, 2026

Locations: Dallas, TX and Grand Prairie, TX

Below are some of the activities in which you can expect to participate.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain understanding of various supply chain functions and disciplines
  • Receive opportunities to build affiliation with hourly team members, associate peers and interact with senior leadership
  • Assist in the analysis and development of supply chain metrics and business processes
  • Report findings to other team members and management as required
  • Experience setting and planning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and managing a team to deliver goals
  • Work on projects and manage time and effort without need for constant supervision
  • Organize and facilitate work team meetings (examples: pre-shift, roundtables, etc.)
  • Be flexible - to understand our 24/7 operations, you may at times need to work various schedules: including early mornings, evenings and/or weekends

Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in: Engineering, Operations/Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Organizational Leadership & Supervision, and Business Management (other related majors will be considered)
  • Graduate with bachelor's degree within one (1) year of internship completion
