St. Louis Children's Hospital is seeking an Education Liaison to provide direct instruction to patients in room or in a classroom setting, and collaborate with schools to ensure students are continuing their education while being cared for in hospital.
Schedule: M-F Day shift

**Preferred Qualifications**
**Role Purpose**
Assists school teachers in the delivery of educational services to hospitalized patients.Develops and provides education to students, educators and the community where necessary on behalf of the students to provide a successful school reintegration for the school aged patient. Position provides entry level case management activities for patients as they reintegrate into the school system
**Responsibilities**
+ Consults with patients and their families to assess patient's educational needs and provides educational services to patients while hospitalized.
+ Coordinates with home school district to assure patient continues to progress in academics i.e. transmits and receives completed coursework from home school district and collaborates with school staff to assure students success.
+ Participates in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and 504 Accommodation plans.
+ Maintains follow up with schools and families to determine necessary accommodations to improve patients' academic performance, attendance, social performance, to include tutoring, curriculum modifications etc.
+ Assists in completing and facilitating required paper work , unique to each patient and school, between school, patient and medical team.
+ BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

The full salary range for the Associate Director of Residential Education position is $66,500 - $18,300 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to 92,500 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Overview:
