Objective:
Responsible for providing direct student support in an educational environment. Supports the classroom teacher in establishing an environment that promotes the students' individualized academic and behavioral growth.

Primary Responsibilities:
Administration
- Participates as a member of a treatment team in planning individualized approaches for each child and familiarizes self with the student’s case record.
- Completes all assigned paperwork such as, but not limited to strategy sheets, assessments, incident and restraint reports, and monthly motivation reviews and Progress Tracker.
- Supports teachers by assisting with noted assessments and contributing to student’s documentation such as but not limited to IEPs, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Behavior Plans.
- Provides support to teachers in the preparation of materials for lesson plan implementation.
Internal and External Collaboration
- Actively participates in daily debriefings and student meetings, and staff or program meetings as scheduled.
- Supports Teaching staff by working closely with them to promote a safe and professional environment.
- Collaborate with classroom teacher in the development and implementation of daily lesson plan.
Direct Client Service
- Participates in the development of each student’s individual treatment plan and strategy sheet. Ensures implementation as prescribed by treatment plan and strategy sheet. .
- Provides classroom support to students through individualized/small group educational and behavioral assistance. Demonstrates support for students through 1:1 rapport building and TFM interactions throughout the students' school day.
- Supports the classroom teacher in the implementation of instructional plans for students.
Quality Assurance and Effectiveness
- Participates in adjusting clients’ behavior plans as needed to maximize progress.
- Uses student assessment data and other student resources to support individualized behavior plans.
- Performs all levels of crisis intervention including de-escalation strategies, life space interview, seclusion, and physical restraints in emergency situations only.

Minimum Education, Experience and Other Skill Requirements:
This position requires an Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience working with children with behavioral difficulties preferred. A valid driver’s license is required. Must possess minimum technical skills including familiarity with Microsoft Windows and ability to use standard Microsoft Office applications.
Work Environment:
Exposed to a combination of office, school, and mental health treatment environments. Exposed to children with behavior problems. May be exposed to shouting and clients who may be verbally and physically aggressive.

- Coach provide feedback, and support Intervention Specialists.
- Lead weekly intervention team meetings at each building within the Cincinnati area.
- Maintain special education master rosters and the timelines and tasks associated with them.
- Provide technical guidance and support related to IDEA and its implementation.
- Provide bi-weekly on-site support at each of the assigned buildings.
- Attend relevant trainings offered by county agencies and the department of education to stay current on regulations and best practices
- Develop and facilitate professional development and training on varied Special Education topics
- Coordinate with school team to understand volume and needs of newly enrolling Special Education students, gather existing documentation, and assist with caseload management.
- Review all Special Education documents, including IEPs, for compliance and quality and provide feedback and coaching to Intervention Specialists prior to IEP meeting
- Assist Intervention Specialists with complex parent communications as needed
- Monitor Intervention Specialist compliance with timelines and data collection
- Observe Intervention Specialists during instructional time with students and provide feedback (if requested)
- Communicate and collaborate with district administration on all things Special Education.
- Collaborate with EMIS Coordinator/State Reporting Manager to ensure districts submit information into state and federal systems
- Liaison between the school and school sponsor and state for issues involving special education
- Provide support before, during, and after on-site and virtual audits
- Provide technical assistance and training for required items from ODE Special Education Profile
- Complete annual compliance documents from school sponsors and ODE with collaboration with school administration
- Serve as a resource to school leaders for special education staffing issues (communication/facilitation with vendors)
- Liaison/facilitator between schools and related service providers
- Participates in trainings and meetings held by the ACCEL Special Education team
- Perform other duties as assigned by Special Education Senior Director.

- Current Ohio Special Education Teacher

As a Workday Payroll Lead, your primary responsibilities may include:
+ Lead or support the Payroll workstream on a Workday implementation project?
+ Support the creation of workplans for large complex global engagements, owning risk, budget, resources, client relationship, etc?

We are seeking an experienced full-time Special Education Teacher (K-8 Grades) to join our Cincinnati, Ohio campuses for the 2025-2026 school year. A Special Education Teacher holds primary responsibility for providing academic, emotional, and physical services for students who require additional support to thrive within the school’s core academic program. This individual will work closely with the school team to supervise students (low incident LD/ED) according to their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). By implementing this plan, staff will help the students develop their full potential, while systematically increasing their socially appropriate behavior. Set goals for the individualized education plan (IEP) that are achievable and comparable to non-diverse learner students in accordance with the State of Illinois.
Develop draft IEPs for initial students with disabilities and/or annual reviews two weeks prior to the IEP meeting.
Provide support and direction to paraprofessionals that are assigned to students or special education classrooms.
Design, implement, and use informal and formal assessments to measure the progress of students.
Work collaboratively with the school team to determine instructional and social needs of students that ensure success, and promotes students’ well-being.
Collaborate with fellow teachers to create a data-driven, learner-centered, friendly, and safe environment demonstrating shared responsibility for achievement.
Work with the RTI team by suggesting appropriate accommodations or interventions for students in the RTI process.
Adhere to and support all school policies to enforce school core values, high expectations, and a strict code of conduct.
Set and attain ambitious student achievement and social-emotional benchmarks.
Model and encourage appropriate student behavior (i.e. grit, self-control, social intelligence, optimism, and curiosity).
Work with the school team to constantly evaluate and improve mastery of instructional, culture building, and leadership skills.
Maintain a classroom that demonstrates discipline, order, and rigor.
Ensure that all students graduate ready for the next academic level.
