STW(tm) is seeking an education leader for the Director of Education (DOE) position who is willing to help to take the action that is needed to help individuals and organizations gain the knowledge of water related issues. The primary responsibilities of the DOE:

  • Lead STW(tm) DILOS(tm) and STEM programs

Oversee the educational content on the STW(tm) website.

Additionally, the DOE is the leader responsible for all education operations at STW(tm) by focusing on the Core Values of the organization, and ensures ethical conduct, sound business practices, and team development.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee department of an average of 5-15 volunteers and interns.
  • Plan and conduct monthly Education Group meetings, including sending agenda, taking meeting minutes, and follow up
  • Communicate monthly (at minimum) to Vice President(s).
  • Communicate to the President and other Directors, as needed.
  • Provide a Monthly Report to the Vice President(s).
  • Provide Quarterly Objectives for your Group a minimum of two (2) weeks prior to the start of each quarter.
  • Attend Quarterly Operations Meetings.
  • Communicate with HR on open positions, hiring and resignation processes, and other procedures as requested.
  • Interview volunteer candidates and provide training for new volunteers.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and assistance for active volunteers
  • Manage Project Leaders and Volunteers
  • Manage and keep operational documents current, including the SOP manual.
  • Assist in developing procedures & documents for the organization.
  • Complete the PWR audit for the Associate Directors each month.

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

  • BA/BS Degree in Education, Psychology
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously.
  • Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public.
  • Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department.
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills

Job Summary and Qualifications
The Clinical Education Manager assists with the negotiation and arrangement of clinical experiences for all students enrolled in prelicensure nursing programs. In addition, this position provides oversight of the clinical experience to effectively integrate standardized clinical learning activities and student evaluation.
Position Responsibilities
1. Coordinate and supervise the operation of clinical experiences to provide clinical learning experiences according to established learning outcomes.
2. Assists faculty and staff with preparation for clinical experiences including required clinical compliance documentation for students and faculty as well as facility-specific orientation requirements according to facility deadlines.
3. May serve as faculty substitute in the facilitation of clinical experiences as needed.

6. Oversees and assists with hiring, performance appraisal, and mentoring of clinical faculty and staff under the direction of campus leadership.

15. Assists with the resolution of student and/or faculty concerns regarding clinical experiences in collaboration with college and campus leadership according to established policy and processes.
16. Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
+ Education: Minimum qualification of an MSN, or a BSN with at least two (2) years' experience in clinical education, with nursing background and knowledge that includes an understanding of the educational objectives and experiences of student nurses, an understanding of the clinical practice of nursing, knowledge of the diverse organizational environments in which nurses practice, and knowledge of the types of clinical sites needed to meet course content and objectives.
+ Unencumbered Licensure: Applicable state as a Registered Nurse.
+ Special Qualifications: At least two (2) years of recent clinical experience, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to interpret learning experience needs of students and match them to the capabilities of clinical placement agencies, excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to be creative and innovative, and proficient computer skills in order to collect and analyze data. Must agree to obtain CNEcl certification within one (1) year of acceptance of position.

Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Director, Education Abroad - Boca Raton, FL.
Summary of Responsibilities:
+ Student Advising & Outreach - Promote study abroad opportunities through advising, workshops, presentations, and campus-wide events. Provide comprehensive advising to outbound students and inbound exchange/J-1 students on program options, eligibility, travel documentation, course registration, and more.
+ Program Management - Coordinate and maintain participant applications, payments, insurance enrollment, and detailed student records. Serve as the primary contact for a designated set of international education programs.
+ Financial Administration - Collaborate with the Senior Director of Education Abroad and Global Learning and the Director of Finance and Administration for the Center for Global Engagement to manage vendor payments, Touchnet updates, spend authorizations, and budget tracking.
+ J-1 Student Support - Organize pre-arrival orientations, arrival welcome events, housing coordination, and insurance updates for incoming J-1 exchange students.
+ Supervision & Office Operations - Supervise students or OPS staff. Provide office leadership in the absence of the Senior Director or Associate Director. Manage updates and vendor contracts for the Education Abroad student application software solution.
+ Safety & Risk Management - Assist with safety protocols, emergency responses, and pre-departure orientation planning. Maintain accurate rosters, emergency contacts, and serve as backup essential personnel.
+ Scholarship & Professional Development - Serve as the advisor for the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. Participate in occasional domestic or international travel for program or professional development.
+ Cross-Department Collaboration - Liaise with campus partners including Financial Aid, International Services, Admissions, Registrar, and Housing to streamline support for students.
+ Undertake additional projects - other job-related duties and projects as assigned by the Senior Director of Education Abroad and Global Learning.
