The Occupational Therapist I will perform evaluations and subsequent planning, execution of therapy programs for children with neuromotor dysfunction, sensory integrative disorders and emotional disturbances. The occupational therapist will participate in intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary training programs for staff, parents and community agencies. In addition, the occupational therapist may be involved in the supervision of OT students, COTA's and volunteers/ aides and maintain appropriate student records.

**Responsibilities**

2. Educate parents/caretaker and staff in student care and design home programs as applicable.
3. Prepare written documentation including annual IEP's, quarterly reports, daily log notes, billing sheets and related service provider logs in accordance with KKI, Maryland OT guidelines, and Comar guidelines.
4. Effectively function within an interdisciplinary team.
5. Supervise fieldwork students (Level I and II), COTAS, aides, volunteers.
6. Assist in care and maintenance of therapy department equipment and supplies.
7. Participates and supports OT department activities, including in-services and peer reviews
**Qualifications**
+ *Individual must demonstrate competence across all age groups due to the diversity of the children and families served by KKI.
+ *Clinical care focus is on the neonate, pediatric, and adolescent populations, as well as some adults with disabilities.
**EDUCATION:**
+ Baccalaureate Degree required, basic Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy (MA/MS) in OT preferred.
**EXPERIENCE:**
+ Minimum of six months previous full-time fieldwork experience required.

The Veteran Affairs Transition Assistance Program (VA TAP) supports Service members and Veterans as they transition from military to civilian life. Through a structured curriculum and personalized support, VA TAP delivers education and career guidance, benefits briefings, and resources to promote post-service success.
The Project Manager - Curriculum Design and Development Lead oversees the strategic planning, design, and continuous improvement of the VA TAP curriculum. This includes aligning all content to VA directives, ensuring Section 508 compliance, and coordinating across internal and Government stakeholders to ensure that all educational materials meet evolving program standards and audience needs. This role is responsible for guiding instructional design teams, integrating participant feedback, and maintaining curriculum version control across delivery platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Lead all aspects of curriculum design, revision, and publication in alignment with VA TAP program goals
+ Supervise instructional designers, editors, and content reviewers
+ Coordinate curriculum development timelines and ensure content aligns with VA policies and transition priorities
+ Oversee Section 508 accessibility compliance and coordinate remediation efforts as needed
+ Establish and manage curriculum review boards, including VA and interagency participants
+ Ensure consistent formatting, voice, and branding across all TAP materials
+ Collect and incorporate feedback from facilitators, participants, and VA stakeholders to refine curriculum
+ Track curriculum versions, approvals, and distribution through internal control systems
+ Collaborate with training, quality, and delivery teams to support program fidelity

+ Manages subordinate employees, along with potential vendor support and matrix staff.

Required Qualifications

+ Knowledge of accessibility standards including Section 508 compliance
+ Strong project management, content development, and team supervision skills

Preferred Qualifications
