POSITION SUMMARY
The Regional Director of Education oversees and manages the traditional programs in the following areas: curriculum development, educational effectiveness assessment and improvement, faculty development and performance appraisals. The Regional Director of Education reports to the Corporate Director of Academic Operations for academic quality.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Evaluates the Learning Resource System materials to ensure that they are commensurate with the level of education, appropriate to the courses of study, in sufficient quantity and scope to meet the educational objectives of the traditional programs (all programs except vocational nursing and surgical technology). Makes recommendations for replenishing or adding to the Learning Resource Inventory.
- Participates in ongoing institutional assessment, improvement and planning for traditional programs.
- Participates in and facilitates community outreach that enhances the educational experience of the student and supports the objectives of the various traditional programs.
- Participates in Program Advisory Committee meetings for all traditional programs.
- Tracks and monitors all professional development activities of the traditional faculty. Creates and facilitates in-service professional development activities.
- Reviews and monitors students' academic performance to allow instructor support and guidance where necessary.
- Conducts monthly faculty observations and yearly evaluations for traditional faculty.
- Conducts faculty observations for nursing and Surgical Technology faculty, as needed.
- Writes observation reports and delivers findings to the faculty member, campus director and/or program director as necessary.
- Monitors, reviews and inputs grades and attendance in CLASS as necessary.
- Assisting in the handling of student advising issues, including providing community resources as necessary.
- Reviews faculty supply orders to assure that they are conducting laboratory exercises.
- Trains and mentors all new hire faculty in the use of the intranet, email and completion of required new hire professional development.
- Facilitates as a general substitute instructor as requested or needed.
- Attends both morning and evening campus meetings (these may alternate monthly) and attends various department meetings.
- Participates in campus meetings including making presentations and speaking on designated topics.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Summary
As a school nurse, you will be required to promote disease prevention, health, and well-being among the student population you serve. As part of these responsibilities, you will be expected to keep records of students' immunizations and relevant health histories. Your students will vary in age from grades K-12, depending on the school to which you will be assigned within the district.
In addition to basic first aid, you will need to meet the unique healthcare needs of students within your school. These needs may be related to any number of chronic health conditions, such as food allergies, asthma, or diabetes. Any care provided to students will need to be consistent with their individual education plans ( IEPs ), individual healthcare plans ( IHPs ), and/ or 504 plans when applicable.
Depending on students' unique health conditions, you may be required to provide a wide range of care that could include respiratory treatments or maintenance of equipment such as catheters, gastric tubes, tracheostomies, or ventilators. You will also be required to manage the administration of medication, both for routine and emergency purposes. CSNs are required to ensure necessary paperwork and authorization is in place to store and administer students' medication.

Under the guidance of the Special Education Program Administrator, this educator plays a vital role in supporting the academic and developmental needs of students with exceptionalities. Key Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (preferred)

The Security Education and Training Specialist will work to implement a community-wide security education, awareness, and training program within the Air Force Special Access Program community.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Interpret customer needs and through collaboration with subject matter experts and independent research, support the development of effective, high-quality training materials on matters pertaining to the full scope of the JAFAN and ICD series of publications
Incorporate Executive Orders and any other applicable regulatory documentation governing the protection of national security information by program accessed personnel and Career security professional into the education and awareness program
Support the development, dissemination and presentation of security education materials that provide blended learning opportunities. Materials may include training plans, briefings, slides, newsletter, web-based products, refresher training, and specialized training for all classification levels and accesses
Coordinate with external security educators to obtain education materials for dissemination to industry
Support the development and implementation of web-based security education and awareness tools Evaluate security education and awareness program efficiency by identifying and gathering performance improvement metrics
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related area; an additional 4 years of equivalent experience might be substituted for a degree.
8+ years of related experience, including 4+ years in an SCI environment.
2+ years of relevant SAR experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Must be familiar with security policy/manuals and the appropriate ICDs/JAFANs/DOD Manuals and other guiding policy documents.
Must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DOD, military/civilian personnel and industry partners.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
Willingness to submit to a polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
Willingness to travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR) (note - could be extensive, and will include both air and ground transportation)
This is a regular 0730-4:30pm, approximately, as per the program needs. There are no telework or hybrid schedule options. What You Will Do
Lead the creative efforts on education projects, developing overall design concepts and design presentation strategies
Mentor and provide creative direction to design teams
Act as the primary design interface with clients and consultants
Collaborate with team members and colleagues to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophy
Participate in business development and marketing efforts
Produce design concept drawings and finished design presentation documentation
Provide solutions to design problems and generate design alternatives
Review drawings, mockups, materials, and finish samples submitted by project contractors
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of design or architecture
20+ years of design leadership of architectural design and/or architecture projects; recent education project experience is required
Must be licensed
Experience with the Division of State Architect (DSA) requirements
Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
Proficiency in Revit and other computer design programs, 3ds Max preferred
Must have a portfolio of education projects. Ideally project portfolio will show a range of planning and architectural design experience for a variety of project types (classroom buildings, libraries, student services centers, student housing, etc.).
