This Role:
Deliver education to clients related to their documentation to ensure a quality product. The position will enhance the scope of the educational and client feedback process and expand services of the Provider Education department to deliver an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide education to clients via a variety of methods including conference calls, written documents for topics related to documentation and on site; prepare reports related to documentation improvement

The Operations Director must effectively lead, build capacity and team capability at an enterprise level to ensure client satisfaction and continued growth. Operational Excellence

League School offers an array of programs to meet the needs of students with autism. Employing the SCERTS Model as an overarching framework, each of the League School's day and residential programs is designed to teach social, academic, behavioral, and community-life skills based on a student's age and ability. These programs range from functional academics to grade-level curricula as well as the vocational training and daily living skills to meet the individual strengths and needs of League's widely diverse student population.
Position Requirements:
- Master's degree and MA license in administration and special education, moderate disabilities, preferred.
- One to three years of administrative experience.
- Five years' experience with autistic population, preferably high school and vocational students.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, supervisory, and administrative skills.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

- Creates master matrix of coverage needs for assigned program. Maintains and monitors coverage schedule for both lunch and recess. Provides coverage in emergency situations when necessary.
- Ensures the provision of services is delivered to all students and families in a respectful and dignified manner. Students should receive educational services in an environment free of abuse and neglect and with respect to their human rights.
- For residential students, ensures cross programmatic cooperation and implementation of IEP goals, behavior plans, etc.
- Works as a team player. Participates in (and/or facilitates) supervision, administrative meetings, classroom conferences, and staff meetings. Comes prepared with agenda and ready to discuss issues and solutions.
- Completes paperwork for individual students or staff as needed.
- Approves/rejects time-off requests for supervisees, with attention toward staff coverage.
- Participates in all trainings, as required by League School.
- Updates DESE training modules.
- Maintains resources for staff training opportunities.
- Monitors annual budget, including monthly reconciliation of expenditures.
- Performs other related duties as designated by the Director of Education or Chief Operating Officer that are deemed necessary for the operation of the school e.g., Open House, evening trainings, Parent Conferences, etc.

About The Opportunity
Wind River has an opportunity for a seasoned business leader with deep experience managing and growing an Education Services (Training, Certification) P&L. The ideal candidate is strategically minded and collaborates closely with Sales teams, Partners, and of course, customers to exceed customer

Salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities of the applicant, and equity with other team members. At HopeWell, we take on big, messy problems. We strive for a world where every child experiencing foster care has opportunities to live out their hopes and dreams and to learn, grow, and thrive. Academic opportunity gaps for children experiencing foster care are immense, so we are working toward educational equity.
RISE (Readiness, Inquiry, Scholarship, Education) is a first-of-its-kind program specifically designed to meet the distinct literacy and social-emotional needs of young children (kindergarten through 3rd grade) experiencing foster care. We provide personalized, 1:1 tutoring and promote caregiver engagement in their child’s education. We began serving youth in 2022 and are now in an exciting phase of further developing our program.

The Education Director will bring deep experience in the education and/or child welfare sectors and will approach the work as:

In this dynamic role, you'll lead and manage the day-to-day implementation of the RISE program. Additionally, through deep collaboration with HopeWell executives, senior staff, program staff, and external consultants, the Education Director will help identify opportunities for program improvement. This will ultimately drive shifts in service delivery that the Education Director will be responsible for implementing with the RISE team.
Your Impact Will Include (Job Responsibilities)
- Oversee the implementation of RISE program model. Implement high quality, youth-centered supports. Apply trauma-informed, evidence-based, and best practice approaches and literacy curriculum. Align with all applicable agency and state regulatory standards, as well as legal and ethical principles that govern practice, in regard to services provided, record keeping, and data collection and management.
- Build rigor and systems into program operations (i.e. training, infrastructure / tools, policies, monitoring) to ensure consistent service delivery with fidelity to the current program model and adapt as needed as program model evolves.
- Lead effective change management by providing ongoing guidance and support to the RISE team, helping them maintain enthusiasm, commitment to, and knowledge needed for the change process.
- Establish and maintain close and productive working relationships with schools, child welfare, and other public and private agency partners. Perform regular outreach to promote referrals, education about services, and utilization of programming and services as intended and represent the agency at all relevant meetings.
- Interview, hire, evaluate, and supervise a multi-disciplinary team of program staff. Provide on-going training, coaching, and performance management.
- Collaborate with VP, Program Impact and Strategy and Chief Finance Officer to develop budget. Monitor and ensure execution of approved budgets and staffing allocations. Ensure that financial paperwork is completed accurately and promptly. Ensure that accurate and prompt billing and payment for services rendered is achieved through monitoring and communication with referring agencies.
- While not responsible for raising funds, collaborate with VP, Program Impact and Strategy and Chief Development Officer to support fundraising activities.
- Other duties as assigned. RISE is an evolving program, and as such, the program model will be subjected to a continuous cycle of analysis and assessment. It will change iteratively as we learn more about how to best support youth needs, and as a result the roles and responsibilities of various team members will likely adapt and change as the program evolves.
- Masters in education, social work, mental health counseling, or equivalent degree
- 7+ years of experience managing a team as an education or child welfare leader or related role
This is a comprehensive list of qualifications. While one candidate may not have deep experience in both the education and child welfare sectors, the ideal candidate will have the knowledge and skills to lead at the intersection of these two sectors.
- Experience with Massachusetts public education system and/or literacy, and knowledge of best practices in tutoring, curriculum, and special education
- Experience with trauma-informed approaches required; clinical training (e.g. social work, mental health counseling) and experience with child welfare system a plus
- Demonstrated ability to organize, plan, and prioritize activities with specific attention to simultaneously attending to higher-level strategies and daily program operations
- Decisive, effective leadership and management skills; strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive high levels of performance, engagement, and accountability
- Demonstrated flexibility and entrepreneurial spirit; thoughtful, curious, and open-minded approach to learning, growth, and change; exceptional change management thinking and implementation skills
- Advanced problem-solving skills and judgement; ability to gather and use information and data to monitor program outcomes and manage workloads

This role involves some home-based and community-based work, some office-based work, and some remote opportunities. During home and community visits there are possible environmental exposures including pets.

- A valid MA State Driver’s License.
- Clearing of background checks as required by state and federal law.
- Remain current in all required trainings.
- Staff schedules can shift over time as youth and caregiver needs, staff caseloads, and program needs change.
- Maintain availability to support the team up until 7 pm on weekdays, as most of the tutoring occurs in the afternoon and early evening.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Education Director - Advocacy (ED) plays a vital role in advocating for schools to adopt good policies, practices and curricula to address antisemitism and other forms of hate and bias. The ED will engage the community, from parents to educators to education associations to elected officials, to prevent and respond to antisemitism and bias when they occur. The ED also supports divisional and regional initiatives including in-person and virtual education programs and cultivates partnerships with community-based organizations Working with the incident response team, the ED supports on-the-ground efforts at responding to school-based incidents.
This position, through their work with their Divisional Director of Education Programs and other Divisional leaders, supports communities and strategically advances education programs and resources that address community need.
ResponsibilitiesPrimary
- Engage in advocacy efforts to ensure:
- Students learn in a safe and welcoming environment
- Educators have skills and strategies for preventing and responding to antisemitism and bias
- Parents, guardians and communities have skills and strategies to identify antisemitism and bias, and interrupt it when it appears in the classroom, in curriculum, by external organizations, or is advanced by policy makers.
- Organize and engage parents and guardians in advocacy initiatives to address antisemitism in K-12 schools or in the public forum (school committees, state and local policy-making bodies)
- Engage community members, including educators who may be experiencing antisemitism and bias, in advocacy initiatives to address antisemitism in K-12 schools or in the public forum.
- Develop and manage relationships with ADL’s strategic partners in the educational community, (including schools, community organizations, education non-profits, and state agencies), identifying opportunities for collaboration and opportunities to engage or contract with ADL for tools and strategies to identify and interrupt antisemitism and bias in K-12 schools.
- Organize parents, guardians and community members to effectively challenge, identify and interrupt antisemitism and bias in K-12 schools.
- Develop relationships with educators who experience antisemitism and bias within the educational system or professional spaces, including unions.
- Provide content area expertise to communal partners working to combat antisemitism using ADL’s educational offerings.
- Lead outreach and implementation of ADL programs, products and resources, including but not limited to Awareness to Action, Educators Challenging Antisemitism, No Place for Hate, Words to Action, and Echoes & Reflections.
- Plan, design and host in-person and virtual programs within ADL’s pedagogical standards to be shared with schools, communal partners and families. Facilitate with volunteer leader engagement when applicable.
- Support regional operations in providing consultation and outreach around hate-based incident response.

- Participate in collaborative user centered feedback, cycles of new education content, and deliverables.
- Monitor and evaluate regional education programs and compile, prepare and submit regional data and reports to aid national efforts.
