ECU Health and the Brody School of Medicine share a combined academic mission to improve the health and well-being of eastern North Carolina through patient care, education and research.Position Summary Under the direction of the Manager and/or Director, this role is responsible for providing first-line supervision for a team of Coding Auditors whose primary responsibilities include the creation and maintenance of audit and education programs that will ensure success for all staff and employed providers based on their specific needs. Supports accurate, compliant coding practices for ECU Health Physicians in accordance with coding guidelines (ICD10, CPT and HCPCS). The Supervisor in conjunction with the Manager and/or Director will monitor Auditor performance as well as Provider performance, assures achievement of KPI goals, ensures consistency in practice, adheres to regulatory requirements, promotes proper documentation standards and supports continual growth. The Supervisor will aid in the development of plans and coordinates education of Auditors and Providers based on specific needs of the individual or functional unit. The Supervisor will assist with education and orientation when needed, partner with Auditors and/or Coding Managers/Supervisors to assist with and generate education, training, and process improvement as well as review of coding personnel activities as needed. By virtue, the Supervisor of Audit & Education also identifies risk reduction, revenue integrity and reimbursement optimization opportunities.Responsibilities Responsible for effectively supervising, coaching & evaluating the proficiency, efficiency & productivity of Auditors. Works closely with team members to establish expectations & monitor outcomes.Supervises individual performance against job duties & performance metrics by establishing & monitoring work assignments. Fosters climate of teamwork & collaboration.Oversees, develops & implements education based on regulatory resources including but not limited to Office of Inspector General, Federal Register, Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services, & other state, federal and commercial regulations as appropriate.Helps manage implementation, maintenance & overall use of audit software/tools.Displays strong leadership abilities, inspiring & motivating team members to achieve excellence. Encourages professional & personal development. Assists with student internship assignments.Serves as expert resource for questions regarding compliant coding practices & researching regulatory topics for guidance.Maintains high degree of accountability & professionalism in both written & verbal communications, including the ability to tailor communications to the need & understanding of the recipient.Works closely with Auditors and leadership to identify trends, areas of risk and vulnerability with goal to present and develop improvement plans at the provider and/or practice level.Utilize routine audits as well as special-request audits to identify revenue integrity opportunitiesResponsible for coordination of Audit & Education services for ECU Health Medical Group.Develops annual audit & education plan including consistent & timely communication of all coding related changes, &/or issues.Acts to remove barriers & ensures audit & project plans stay on target.Supports consistent, accurate audit & education practices & workflows that adhere to coding & regulatory guidelines. Monitors growth, development & operational activities related to Audit & Education.Implements specific goals, objectives, & performance standards. Assures practices are standardized & overall consistent across team & medical group.Actively monitors Audit & Education operations processes, performance & quality., while monitoring & reporting practice & departmental specific KPIs.Leads individuals & groups towards identified outcomes, setting high performance standards & delivering quality services. Supervises the review of medical record documentation, tracks reports of high risk trends & assists with education planning.Responsible for facilitating improvement & correction where issues are identified. Partners with Auditors to identify areas of opportunity for focused education topics, develops materials & delivers training as needed. Coordinates activities, documentation & responses to provider, coder, & administrator inquiries.Assists in the development of focused educational materials, including but not limited to presentations, training classes, tip sheets, etc. based on needs as outlined &/or requested by leadership &/or Auditors. Evaluates, modifies, approves & implements tip sheets, SOPs & SBARs developed by Auditors to address updates & changes in coding & reimbursement laws, regulations, & guidelines. Updates & develops coding policies & procedures when needed.Responsible for multiple high priority audits & reviews at any given time.Communicates results &/or education to various levels within the organization.Recognizes situations that require escalation of information to the Manager &/or Director or other stakeholders as necessary.Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent, or higher is required. CCS, CCS-P, CPC, RHIT or RHIA credentials with five years of relevant coding, auditing and/or education experience is required.A two-year associate degree in Heath Information Technology or higher is preferred. Successful completion of the AHMIA correspondence course/independent study program in Heath Information Technology is also preferred. Position Summary

The Residency Program Coordinator, under the supervision of the Program Directors, directs the daily operation of the residency program office. The Residency Program Coordinator oversees the administrative functions of the residency program, and assists with planning, preparation and execution of activities related to maintaining program education, residency accreditation, residency recruitment, resident well-being, and problem-solving.

The Residency Program Coordinator functions as a critical resource for the Program Directors and residents and provides ongoing guidance to other program staff, and is responsible for administration of the residency program in accordance with the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)/American Osteopathic Association (AOA) accreditation requirements, as well as serves as a liaison for the residency in cooperative efforts with the faculty, other specialty departments, outside institutions, GME Office, and Medical Staff Office.

The Residency Program Coordinator serves as a team leader for the Assistant Program Coordinator, and any other administrative staff performing residency functions.

Minimum Requirements

Associates Degree required- or higher.

C-TAGME certification is preferred

3-7 years related experience

Other Information

Full time with benefits - 40 hours per week

Day shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Prefer candidates with C-TAGME certification

Position Summary:

The Divisional Director of Clinical Education (DDCE) provides expertise, consultation, guidance, advocacy tools, training and information that enables the company to attain and maintain clinical operation standards, regulatory compliance, and business goals with an emphasis on Clinical Education and Infection Prevention and Control activities. The primary duty of the DDCE is the performance of work related to the support and achievement of clinical education, Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Training Programs, and infection prevention and control operational goals, delivering continuous professional support and resources for clinical practice in these areas while complying with state and federal law and Company policy.

Qualifications/Education:
  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of assignment/employment.
  • Preferably hold a bachelor's degree from a (4) four-year college or university, four (4) to five (5) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have proven leadership ability with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in nursing service administration.
  • Must have completed specialized training in infection prevention and control (i.e., CDC's infection prevention and control modules or other qualified infection control education). Any additional state-specific training required for the position will be completed at the earliest available opportunity (i.e., SPICE in North Carolina)
  • Must possess at least two (2) years' experience teaching and/or training adult learners in a clinical setting
  • Comply with applicable legal requirements, standards, policies, and procedures including but not limited to those within the Compliance Process, Code of Conduct and HIPPA.
  • Has an in-depth knowledge of the effective direction, management, and operation of State-approved CNA Training Programs in states that the DDCE is assigned, including State-specific requirements for curricula, teaching methods, and clinical skill development of training programs participants.
  • Represents the Divisional clinical operations at professional clinical services organizations and consults with industry experts for current state or practice and trends in the provision of clinical education, infection prevention and control, and resident care and services.
  • Must be willing to travel.
