**Location**
This position is based out of our office in Columbus, OH.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead a collaborative team to understand client needs, prepare deliverables, and provide project updates.
- Establish design criteria based on industry, company, and/or client standards.
- Oversee creation of computer models of overhead electric transmission lines and structures in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE and TOWER.
- Oversee assembly of drawings, specifications, and design criteria for the procurement of tubular steel structures, lattice towers, and transmission line hardware. Review the vendor supplied calculations and drawings for compliance.
- Oversee development of comprehensive construction packages for internal construction crews and client contractors that include plan & profiles, staking sheets, stringing tables, bill of materials, structure details, phasing drawings, foundation drawings, and installation specifications.
- Provide design oversight and quality reviews for complex drawing packages ensuring client and code requirements are met for the project.
- Drive a culture of design excellence and continuous improvement.
- Present to management, analyze PLS-CADD reports, formulate design aids, and draft reports using Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Yammer).
- Communicate resource needs and ensure project schedules and budgets are maintained.
- Visit construction sites, meet in client offices, and travel out of town to tour supplier facilities as required by projects and assignments.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- At least 5 years' experience designing and engineering transmission lines between 69kV and 345kV preferred
- Professional Engineering (PE) License strongly preferred
- Proficient in PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole; PLS TOWER experience preferred
- Knowledge of MFAD, LPILE, and geotechnical recommendation application for foundation design preferred

**Location**
This position is based out of Columbus, and typically requires up to 15% travel across North America.
**Responsibilities**
+ Manage performance of department resources by providing timely feedback, and promote personnel development by assisting each resource in career succession planning and goal development.
+ Facilitate quality management, quality process compliance and technical correctness on assigned projects, acting as Engineer of Record as needed.

**Qualifications**
