Install Electrical and Electronic Control Systems and equipment, PLC's, MCC's, Lighting, Power supplies, Fire and Gas, and communications systems with minimal supervision. Basic troubleshooting and diagnostic skills of Electrical/Electronic issues relative to Control Systems and equipment. Install and maintain Lighting and Power distribution systems. Route, fabricate and install cable tray. Route, bend and install conduit runs. Gland and terminate cables. Hook up generators, transformers, MCC's (Motor Control Center) Nav-Aids etc Demolition of cable and conduit runs. Proficient in the use of tools of the trade. Read drawings and P&ID's. Knowledge of industry standards, National Electrical Code and relevant Government regulations. Recognize and avoid safety hazards and dangers. All above functions performed with minimal supervision.

JOB OBJECTIVE
The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and calibrating a variety of electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical instrumentation systems used in manufacturing, research and development, or other industries. The successful candidate will work with a team of engineers and technicians to ensure that all instrumentation equipment is properly functioning and accurately measuring the required parameters.
REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE
- Must be able to work with low and high-pressure tubing/piping systems.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be willing to follow all company and project policies, rules, and guidelines.
- Must be willing to assist in any additional qualified duties assigned.
- Must be NCCER Certified and have TDLR.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Must pass drug test and background check.
- Completed a Contractor approved Electrical course and/or a minimum of seven (7+) years of verifiable related electrical experience with consideration given for formal education and pass a written/oral examination.
- Will read prints and P&IDs to interpret the work to be completed, the required equipment, and required tools to perform assigned work.
- Will work with piping systems to install instrumentation for the system to work properly, be controlled, and/or monitored.
- Will work with precision tools to calibrate instrumentation and to adjust installed electrical and piping components.
- Will work with the installation, manipulation, and fabrication of piping and tubing according to specifications.
- Required to have all journeymen tools and have experience with associated power tools.
- Must be able to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install primary piping and tubing.
- Must be able to check performance using testing and measuring. Instruments and make necessary adjustments.

An Electrician must have the knowledge and skills to install, modify and maintain low, medium voltage circuits associated with, power distribution, motors, controls, lighting and grounding systems, with limited support and supervision from others.
Installation of electrical raceway systems comprised of rigid aluminum, galvanized steel, PVC and PVC coated conduit and aluminum, galvanized steel and fiberglass cable tray.
* Installation and termination of single and multiple conductor cables.
* Installation of electrical devices such as light fixtures, transformers, disconnects, motor starters, distribution panels and start/stop stations.
* Test, trouble shoot and repair normal electrical circuits.
* Safely use electrical test equipment such as a volt-ohm meter, amp meter or megohmmeter.
* Safe operation of hand and power tools such as band saws, drills, conduit threaders, hole punches and wire tuggers.
* Accurately measure and bend up to 6" conduit using manual, mechanical, hydraulic and electric conduit benders.
* Install electrical conductors (cable pulling) including accurately measuring, cutting, pulling, tagging, shaping and securing cable to wireways or welded studs.
* Knowledge of the National Electrical Code and OSHA Electrical Safe Work Practices
* Ability to read electrical drawings.
* Knowledge of use, limitations and maintenance of all Personal Protective Equipment required for the assigned work.
* Knowledge of hazards and safe work procedures associated with working form elevated work areas and personnel lift equipment.
* Knowledge of hazards and safe work procedures associated with the assigned work including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout, Confined Spaces, Emergency Action Plans, Safe Work Permits, Incident Reporting, and Hazcom procedures.
