Essential Functions:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's quality management system to comply with industry standards and customer requirements for ASME tanks, balancing and control valves.
- Establish and enforce quality control processes and procedures to ensure product consistency and reliability.
- Conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements, specifically for ASME certifications and valve industry standards.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to identify and implement process improvements related to ASME tanks and valve manufacturing.
- Monitor key quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

- Ensure compliance with ISO, ASME, and other applicable regulatory and certification requirements.
- Facilitate training programs for employees on quality standards, processes, and best practices specific to ASME tanks, balancing and control valves.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns, ensuring prompt resolution and satisfaction.
- Maintain proper documentation and records related to quality assurance and compliance.
- Stay current with industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes to enhance quality programs.

Required Education and Experience:

- In-depth knowledge of quality control processes and regulatory compliance for ASME tanks and valve manufacturing.
- Experience managing supplier quality and compliance programs.
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).

+ Ensure compliance of the Quality Management System (QMS) with regard to applicable regulations and standards to meet compliance and business needs.

The Quality Control Manager reports to the Director of Food Safety/Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance.

- Ensures food safety risk assessment is completed and appropriate controls are developed and implemented.
- Develop and implement quality control strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products or service
- Supervise, lead and manage a team of quality control professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Enforce conformance to implemented policies, operating procedures, quality systems and programs which ensure proper testing, evaluation, inspection, and technical support to meet product safety and quality standards
- Establish and enforce key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of quality control processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as operations and customer service, to ensure quality control standards are integrated into all aspects of the organization.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas of non-compliance or opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze data and metrics related to quality control to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Research and Development team to ensure new products or processes meet quality standards before they are introduced to the market.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure compliance with quality control standards.
- Participate in all third party and customer audits and inspections, and corrective action response.
- Act as a quality resource for operational issues, process improvement activities, new ingredient testing, and new product commissioning.
- Conduct performance appraisals; provides feedback; and assists in setting goals and objectives.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Lead and direct Quality Control personnel. Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with site policies, applicable federal and local regulations. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training of employees. In addition, the QC Manager will be responsible for planning, assigning QC personnel work activities and projects, appraising performance and resolving personnel work related issues.
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

- Strong knowledge of cGMP for Pet or human Food (21 CFR 507 or 113).
- Ability to perform both internal and external quality and food safety audits.
- Preferred: HACCP, PCQI, SQF, Allergen Control, Food Recall, and Root Cause Analysis trainings.
Computer and Technology Skills:
The successful candidate must be proficient in MS Office applications, Minitab, SAP and a DMS program
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as standard operating procedures, work instructions and policy guides, and other procedural manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to understand German language is a plus.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as: fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Your Role as Quality Control Inspector
