The Northeast Health District seeks a Business Support Analyst for its Children Medical Services Program. The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for numbers and data and an interest in supporting children with medical needs in our community. Responsibilities are varied and include inventory management, procurement of supplies, community outreach, and assistance with reports and data collection. Blank Hospital. **Description**
**8am - 4:30pm/ Full time/ 40 Hours**
We're seeking a **Certified** **Medical Assistant** to assist with office-based procedures.
+ Responsible for performing routine and more complex medical assistant clinical duties to include, but not limited to, taking vital signs, administering a limited number of medications per Emory Clinic approved policy, performing simple diagnostic tests, collecting specimens, drawing blood, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms in an outpatient care setting.
+ Assists physicians and APP's with patients, equipment preparation, aseptic technique and surgical procedures in the exam/procedure room. Prepares the exam/ procedure room by assembling routine supplies, materials, instruments and equipment; obtains special supplies indicated by physician.
+ Assists in the preparation, transportation, and positioning of patients for the procedure and provides for the physical comfort, safety, and privacy of the patient during the procedure.
+ Observes patient for possible symptoms which may indicate a change in condition and reports to appropriate member of medical team for immediate action. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the principles of sterile technique and infection control; practices appropriate procedures to maintain a sterile environment. Chaperone and assist for every patient intimate examination. Performs accurate POC testing
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Basic computer skills required.
+ One year work experience preferred.
+ Current AHA BLS certification is required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
+ Current certification as one of the following is required: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from the American Medical Technologists (AMT), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) from National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
+ Preferred certification is the CMA or RMA.
+ Must successfully complete all medical assistant orientation and training requirements and annual skills competency.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
+ The Peer Recovery Coach is responsible for responding to persons in the emergency department or hospital inpatient setting who have experienced overdose or other challenges because of use or misuse of substances (e.g. opioids, cocaine, methamphetamine).
+ Upholds the culture, principles, and values of recovery in all aspects of services provided to individuals, family members, friends, and allies and will provide connections to local recovery communities surrounding the hospital, as well as treatment and recovery support services in these communities.
+ Duties:
+ Provides Peer Support:
+ Provides peer support to persons who have experienced overdose or other challenges with substance use or misuse.
+ Provides information and facilitates development of relationships with individuals, support/mutual aid groups, and service providers when appropriate. Follows up when the peers agree.
+ Manages boundaries in relationships and makes adjustments in accordance with guidance provided by team leadership.
+ Supports Families, Friends, and Allies:
+ Provides support to families and allies of people who have experienced overdose or other challenges with substance use in assigned emergency departments. Provides information and education about the recovery process to these individuals when appropriate. Manages boundaries in the relationships and make adjustments in accordance with guidance provided by team leadership.
+ Develops Relationships with Community Resources:
+ Develops and sustains relationships with community resources, supports, and services for the persons experiencing overdose or other challenges with substance use or misuse and families, friends, and allies of those persons.

+ Maintains strong collaborative relationships with all hospital staff and partners. Honors professional boundaries with these individuals.
+ Provides education about the recovery process to caregivers, patients, and hospital staff.
+ Records Encounters and Activities:
+ Keeps and maintains accurate and comprehensive records in accordance with guidance provided by team leadership.
+ Travel:
+ Some travel required, primarily to Gainesville, GA for initial training and later within Atlanta.

+ A high school diploma or equivalent, and active Certified Addiction Recovery Empowerment Specialist (CARES) certification or meets CARES eligibility requirements.
