Job Description

To provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Director and other members of the Human Resources team. To support the Human Resource function by providing a warm greeting and environment for all associates in the Associate Services Center.

Responsibilities

  • Professionally and warmly meet and greet all guests to ASC

Qualifications

Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain employee records: Ensure records (including employment agreements, disciplinary records, personal information, and payroll data) are accurate, updated, and managed in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Support reporting and headcount management: Partner with the HRBP and HR Coordinator to track and report start/termination dates for temporary employees, ensuring accurate headcount reporting.
  • Coordinate uniform distribution and maintenance: Ensure employees receive appropriate uniforms promptly, working closely with the vendor to address replacements or issues.

Job Summary

This position will report the Chief Human Resources Officer. The Human Resources Generalist will work closely with AMSC's campus internal teams and stakeholders to understand their HR related needs. Job Description

Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This team member will assist with the management of all functions of the HR department including training, international worker management, employee relations, and recruitment in accordance with Omni standards. The candidate must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills and the ability to train, develop, and motivate associates and managers at all levels.

Responsibilities

    In absence of the Human Resources Director, assumes role & responsibility for the Human Resources Department.
  • Participates in planning and execution of associate events planned by the Human Resources Department.
  • Manage international worker process.
  • Act as liaison to management for all associates.
  • Maintain all personnel files through the weekly filing and logging of all pertinent information and ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations.
  • Answer multi-line telephone within two rings, convey messages and answer simple questions.
  • Support full-cycle recruitment: job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Keep a spreadsheet for tracking of required certifications dependent of role.
  • Distribute and explain to candidates the background check policy and the pre-employment drug screening process, if applicable. Maintain spreadsheet with information of who has gone for drug screening.
  • Coordinate with candidate with he/she will come to the HR office to complete the new hire processing and what is needed in order for the processing to go smoothly.
  • Clearly and accurately document all associate issues on a timely basis following counseling and disciplinary procedures.
  • Has some knowledge of benefits administration, benefit and employment law, FMLA, ADA, workers compensation law.
  • Develop and/or participate in Staff Training initiatives, including monthly management training in accordance with the Omni Training Matrix, and departmental service training .
  • Works with loss prevention department to ensure that Safety Training is alive and well in departmental meetings, stand up meetings, and in the consciousness of each hotel associate.
  • Collaborates with loss prevention to ensure timely and accurate incident/accident reporting. Responsible for ensuring proper use of forms, medical services and reporting standards to insurance company.
  • Champions Omni Culture on property, and enthusiastically promotes opportunities within the hotel and company.
  • Manages associate benefit file system to Omni Standard and ensures accurate documented enrollment for all eligible associates.
  • Ensures final clearance and pay check distribution for all terminated associates.
  • Manage HRIS to ensure compliance with applicant flow log, drug testing, I9's,E-Verify, background & reference check, etc.
  • Working with Shared Services team on the international recruiting programs to include petitions and recruiting process
  • Coordinate all Housing for international workers
  • Handle all transportation needs to include airport pick-ups and travel to and from hotel for shifts
  • Track and submit weekly housing rent report for payroll deductions and transportation. Coordination of return of security deposits
  • Complete other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
      • At least 2 years of Human Resources experience is required.
      • International worker (J1/H2B/Work and Travel) experience highly preferred.
      • Prior hotel HR experience preferred.
      • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
      • The candidate must have knowledge with working with Microsoft Office Products.
      • College Degree required; peferrably in Hospitality or Human Resources Management preferred.
      • Must be flexible with schedule to include some weekends.
      • Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to coach, counsel, advise, mentor, and motivate associates and managers at all levels.
      • The ability to work in a fast-paced high pressure work environment while executing delegated tasks and assignments
      • Highly motivated self-starter focused on quality, organization, guest service and teamwork.
      • Willing to grow Human Resources, relocation may be required.
      • Willingness to grow professionally and take on new challenges within the organization.
      • Open to relocation based on business needs.
