SUMMARY Hours for this role are 8:am -4:30pm with some coverage flexing time (7-5)
Under the direction of the System Director- HR Strategy Employee and Labor Relations, the HR Specialist is responsible for meeting and greeting scheduled appointments, answering general HR questions, phones, processing general employment related employee information, informing security of employee transfer information, filing, personnel record management, and conducting background checks of internal transfers. What we’re looking for:
Associates Degree in HR or business, or 2 years of clerical, human resource, administrative or office experience.
Demonstrated work experience and ability to exercise effective judgement, sensitivity, and creativity to changing needs and situations.
Demonstrated and proven excellent communication and organizational awareness skills, advanced computer skills

The Sr. Administrative Assistant functions as the Receptionist, HR Assistant and shared administrative assistant for the site, which is the division's headquarters and main manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities are listed below:
- Greets visitors and checks them in, per standard processes; answers inbound phone calls, responds to inquiries, and routes calls
- Administers daily attendance call-ins, distributes attendance information, and maintains attendance logs
- Creates check requests and supports Accounts Payables entries
- Files personnel paperwork and issues/distributes employee change of status forms; tracks and administers plant labor status changes
- Screens production employment applications, arranges in-person interviews, and administers pre-boarding hiring processes
- Orders office supplies and supports general administrative activities in the office, such as data entry projects
- Participates in Company planning committees, such as charitable giving, wellness events, and employee engagement events
- Occasionally acts as backup for Inside Sales department/order entry
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred
- 1-3 years related administrative experience
- Outgoing personality and professional demeanor
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written skills; ability to draft general email announcements and correspondence
- Proficiency/experience with the MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, basic PowerPoint)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred:
- Some HR-related experience/exposure
- Kronos administration experience
This position may require access to United States export controlled technical data ("CTD") and hardware under the Departments of US State (ITAR) and/or Commerce (EAR). Eligible candidates are; US Citizens, Green Card holders, Asylees or others eligible to receive US export license authorizations. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US.
