Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Deep understanding of capture technologies (chemical absorption, physical separation), CO₂ transport, and storage in saline formations or depleted reservoirs.

  • Proven knowledge of CCUS economics , cost components across the value chain, and policy frameworks (e.g. carbon tax, cap-and-trade, carbon pricing).

**JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:**
Entergy is looking for a talented, experienced, and innovative Project Engineer with a process engineering or power generation background to be a part of the Power Development engineering team that will be driving innovation and technological advancements to enhance the reliability, affordability, and sustainability of our new zero and/or low carbon power generation technologies and systems. This role ensures that engineering is aligned with corporate goals and is complete, accurate and constructible for all elements of a project's scope.
**JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Collaborates with key stakeholders to develop and maintain the company's standards in engineering design for new generation projects, carbon capture projects, and other technologies.
+ Contributes to the development of project deliverables as necessary during each step of the stage gate process.
+ Supports and participates in the technical evaluation of project proposals to ensure conformance to technical standards.
+ Participates in contractor/vendor selection process to ensure sufficient due diligence of their engineering experience, competencies, and capabilities.
+ Assists in resolution of project technical queries (RFIs) and interface issues.
+ Coordinates with the project team to ensure that projects are executed in accordance with appropriate codes, specifications, schedules, and good engineering practice.
+ Manages the review of project deliverables to assure compliance with the contract, permits, codes, and utility design standards and supports the operations and maintenance goals of projects in development and execution.
+ Ensures that engineering is complete, accurate and constructible for all elements of a project's scope.
+ Ensures that the drawings and designs documents are organized and maintained in conjunction with all applicable requirements.
+ Supports cross-functional team consisting of internal Subject Matter Experts, Owners Engineers, EPC contractors and technical consultants from development of project through Permitting, Engineering, Construction, Commissioning and Closeout.
+ Oversees performance of contracted engineering, coordinates all contractor and owner's engineering interfaces, and ensures projects are completed according to project construction drawings, specifications, schedule, quality and performance requirements.
**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
**Minimum education required of the position:**
Bachelor's degree in electrical, chemical, industrial, or mechanical engineering
**Minimum experience required of the position:**
+ **Engineer Sr:** 6+ years of professional experience. (5+ years with a BS with a FE, or a MS with a PE or PMP).
+ **Engineer Sr Lead:** 10+ years of professional experience. (8+ years with a BS with a FE, or a MS with a PE or PMP).
+ **Engineer Sr Staff:** 12+ years of professional experience. (10+ years with a BS with a FE, or a MS with a PE or PMP).
**Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:**
+ Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills with strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 360.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and leadership behaviors.
+ Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology to power generation this includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design of electrical power generating facilities.
+ Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of power generation and/or carbon capture facilities.
+ Experience with reviewing, executing, and managing EPC contracts.
+ Critical Thinking -- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
+ Complex Problem Solving -- Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
+ Knowledge of Codes and Standards applicable to the construction or repair of power generation and/or carbon capture facilities.
+ **Desired:**
+ Experience with amine-based Carbon Capture systems.
+ Experience with Combined Cycle Combustion Turbine (CCCT) system design and/or operation.
