Job Description
Perform the following tasks utilizing engineering drawings and work instructions:
- Install and wire terminal boards
- Terminate various types of aircraft connectors
- Perform continuity checks on wiring, connectors and aircraft components where required
- Perform power on checks and operational checks of the system
- Perform installation and troubleshooting of Aircraft (electrical) cables and harnesses on aircraft with minimum supervision
- Be qualified and proficient in the use of related test equipment for both “on aircraft” and in-shop testing of components and systems
- Trouble shoot and repair aircraft avionics systems.
- Have a minimum of 4 years’ experience performing electronic, electrical and avionics modifications/installations and repair on military and/or commercial FAA aircraft.
- HS Diploma and a graduate of a technical school (military and/or commercial) required.
- Ability to assist and/or act as team lead in electrical cable harness assembly installations; including modification and/or development of work instructions where required
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical installation and manufacturing engineering drawings, and familiar with documenting red line changes to the engineering drawings with minimum supervision
- Understand and interpret Customer requirements
- Understand and interpret requirements of standards AS50881 and J-STD-001
- Experienced in the use of all basic hand tools and electrical aircraft modification tools
- Must possess normal color vision and have/or correct sight to 20/20
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards
- Must be able to comply with tool control and FOD procedures
- Willing to work/reside and/or relocate to the state of SC. Relocation assistance may be provided.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
- Associate’s degree and 4 year(s) related experience or equivalent.
- High School Diploma or GED and 6 year(s) related experience.
- A&P License.
- Aircraft electrical systems knowledge, can troubleshoot fighter aircraft.
- Working knowledge and experience with USAF Technical Orders.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $64723 - $
