To help achieve these efforts, Stratolaunch ( is seeking a **Staff or Principal-level Mechanical Engineer** to lead the airframe team in the development of an air-launched, hypersonic flight vehicle development program. This position requires leading a multi-disciplined group of engineers to design, build, and test vehicles to meet customer structural requirements. **An ideal candidate has significant prototype development experience, with focus in thermal-structural-mechanical design, leading to first flights** . **ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES** + Lead a diverse team of mechanical and manufacturing engineers + Lead structural development of the hypersonic vehicle, including trade studies and structural layout + Responsible for making final technical decisions for the structures subsystem + Lead the successful execution of structural design reviews to advance the program through manufacturing and into flight test + Lead structural systems engineering approach, which may include: creating and dispositioning structural requirements, mass properties management, guiding the configuration management of models, reviewing and approving documents/reports/analyses, setting engineering and design best practices and standards for the structures team, waiving or approving ground testing based on structural technical risk assessments, etc. + Work hand-in-hand with the program responsible engineers and Chief Engineer to lead the program to a successful outcome + Management of small team of direct reports ( _1:1s, reviews, etc_ .) + Regular and comprehensive communication to program Chief Engineer + Travel, as needed, to support the program + Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, integrity and fulfillment of commitments **QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. To help achieve these efforts, Stratolaunch is seeking an Avionics Engineering Technician (open to level I, II, or Sr), focusing on environmental testing support. This position includes environmental and functional testing of the various avionics components that contribute to the development and flight of the Talon air-launched, hypersonic vehicle programs. You will contribute towards test planning, execution, failure analysis, and overall validation of the hypersonic avionics system. This position will include participating in coordination, scheduling, and testing of a broad range of avionics components.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Execute environmental tests on development, flight and qualification hardware, both onsite and offsite
+ Provide feedback on environmental test plans, procedures, and reports to satisfy internal and external Avionics Test requirements
+ Maintain and operate environmental test equipment such as vibration tables and thermal chambers
+ Design new environmental test instrumentation systems and support its operation
+ Support operations of existing environmental test instrumentation systems
+ Perform inspections on sensitive electronic equipment
+ Communicate and document test results and deviations through issue tracking systems and test reports
+ Knowledge and understanding of test and environmental standards such as DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, etc.

Stratolaunch is seeking a Sr- or Staff-level Test Engineer to lead the Talon-A air-launched, hypersonic vehicle testing. An ideal candidate will have experience in vehicle integration and test. This role involves interfacing with a multi-disciplinary engineering team and program management. **ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES** + Collaborates with the systems engineering, test team responsible engineers, and program leadership to define and implement vehicle integration and test activities + Collaborates with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to produce and maintain an up-to-date test objective database + Ensures vehicle is tested in a manner to meet vehicle requirements + Participates in test planning, Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), test execution, vehicle troubleshooting and post-test data reviews + Architects and optimizes data review methodology, as well as data review and data analysis tools + Understands connections and dependences between subsystems + Sets standards for test planning and documentation and ensure those standards are met + Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, and integrity in the fulfillment of commitments **QUALIFICATION & SKILLS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. ASRC Federal requires a highly motivated Engineering Technician II to support the ASTROS Contract. We are looking for someone with good mechanical ability. ASRC Federal issupporting cutting edge propulsion systems testing at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and we are looking for the best people to be a part of this research.

Key Role :

  • Work in a team environment and able to take instruction from a more senior technician.

  • Must be able to perform different assignments all throughout the day.

  • Basic knowledge of building construction and components (HVAC, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and landscaping).

  • Receive daily instructions and provide feedback and complete work with minimal supervision.

  • Wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment

  • Will be required to work overtime and or work different shifts with little notice

  • Must place Safety of self and others ahead of everything else. All support must be well thought out, with safety in mind, before started.

  • Must have great customer service skills and able to communicate the status of jobs and understand deadlines.

  • Must have ability to work to a well-defined schedule and quickly communicate any deviations.

  • The ability to read a blueprint is preferred.

  • Must know about and be able to use basic hand tools.

  • Will be required to work Overtime or support different work shifts with little to no notice.
