To help achieve these efforts, Stratolaunch is seeking an Avionics Engineering Technician (open to level I, II, or Sr), focusing on environmental testing support. This position includes environmental and functional testing of the various avionics components that contribute to the development and flight of the Talon air-launched, hypersonic vehicle programs. You will contribute towards test planning, execution, failure analysis, and overall validation of the hypersonic avionics system. This position will include participating in coordination, scheduling, and testing of a broad range of avionics components.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Execute environmental tests on development, flight and qualification hardware, both onsite and offsite
+ Provide feedback on environmental test plans, procedures, and reports to satisfy internal and external Avionics Test requirements
+ Maintain and operate environmental test equipment such as vibration tables and thermal chambers
+ Design new environmental test instrumentation systems and support its operation
+ Support operations of existing environmental test instrumentation systems
+ Perform inspections on sensitive electronic equipment
+ Communicate and document test results and deviations through issue tracking systems and test reports
+ Knowledge and understanding of test and environmental standards such as DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, etc.
