Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Agronomist to contribute to their pioneering work in sustainable agriculture in the **Salt Lake City, Utah** region. This role will involve providing expert advice and implementing innovative agronomic strategies aimed at optimizing crop yields, improving soil health, and minimizing environmental impact. The successful candidate will work closely with farmers, researchers, and operational teams to develop and apply best practices in modern agricultural science. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility while requiring regular on-site engagement in the **Salt Lake City, Utah** area.

- Develop and implement comprehensive agronomic plans for diverse crop production systems.
- Conduct field research, soil testing, and plant tissue analysis to assess crop health and identify nutrient deficiencies or pest/disease issues.
- Provide expert recommendations on crop rotation, fertilization, irrigation, pest management, and soil conservation practices.
- Monitor crop development and performance, making adjustments to management strategies as needed.
- Educate and advise farmers and agricultural stakeholders on the adoption of sustainable farming techniques and technologies.
- Analyze data from field trials and operational data to drive continuous improvement in farming practices.
- Stay abreast of the latest research, innovations, and regulatory changes in agronomy and sustainable agriculture.
- Collaborate with research institutions and industry partners to advance agricultural knowledge.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management and clients.
- Contribute to the development of long-term strategies for land stewardship and resource management.
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Soil Science, Plant Science, or a closely related agricultural field.
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in agronomy or crop science, with a strong focus on sustainable practices.
- In-depth knowledge of crop physiology, soil chemistry, plant nutrition, and integrated pest management (IPM).
- Experience with precision agriculture technologies and data analysis tools is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of environmental science and sustainable resource management principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to conduct fieldwork in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with the agricultural landscape in **Salt Lake City, Utah** and surrounding areas is a plus.
