**Responsibilities**
Main Responsibilities include:
+ Support multiple leaders and their teams to become their trusted advisor
+ Prepare Product P&Ls and key financials to drive product roadmap and overall margin optimization efforts through deep analysis of the various business, financial and other operational drivers

+ Perform competitive analysis, pricing, and/or cost modeling
+ Link business strategy to financial reporting at various levels (from a discrete service to overall offerings, or from a DC level to global performance) using KPIs, and goal setting

Maximus is currently seeking a Director, Finance & Accounting . In this role, you will be responsible for performing and providing financial oversight to the business.
This is a remote position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial budgeting, forecasting and reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, while performing variance analysis between forecast and actual.
- Ensure effectiveness of accuracy and timeliness of forecasting, reporting, accruals, and other financial related processes and systems on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Provide direct financial leadership and support for assessing service allocation rates, composition of cost pools for new allocations.
- Work with group and project finance teams to develop, administer, and implement process improvements and methodologies and cost allocation expectations.
Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of financial professionals to develop and implement a financial strategy that is effective, consistent and aligns with the organization's overall financial strategy.
- Responsible for oversight and maintenance of project financial records and forecasts.
- Provide strategic pricing leadership to support a new business area.
- Participate in all internal and external audits.
- Oversee the monthly and quarterly financial close process for assigned businesses.
- Coordinates with Project Management to develop operational productivity analysis and tracking of metrics to identify where cost efficiencies can be achieved.
- Reviews contract modifications, maintain financial contract files and prepares reports, documentation and presentations as appropriate.
- Ensure client invoices are compliant with MAXIMUS policy and client requirement to ensure projects are billed accurately and timely.
- Manages Direct Sales Outstanding by expediting collections and keeping unbilled as low as possible.
- Ensure compliance with applicable policies and procedures as well as US GAAP, FAR, CAS and statutory regulations, acting as a champion of the company policy and procedures.
- Provide monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting for financial and business planning with Project Management and Division finance and works closely to track performance and provides timely variance and Risk and Opportunity analysis.
- Prepares routine and ad-hoc financial reports and analysis using MAXIMUS proprietary tools, Enterprise solutions, CostPoint, Cognos Reporting, and Excel
- Lead cooperative effort among members of a team.
- Provides ongoing supervision too assigned staff.
- Responsible for identifying and resolving issues, problems and concerns.
- Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures.
- Interacts with different levels of external and internal customers.
- Ensures the confidentiality and security of all corporate information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- 10-12 years of relevant professional experience required.
Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience in lieu of degree. Master's Degree preferred.
- Due to customer requirements, United States Citizenship is required.
-1 0+ years of relevant professional experience required.
- At least 5 years of experience in project accounting, financial control/management or similar discipline.
- 2-3 years management experience required.
- Must have DoD financial experience.
- Must have strategic pricing experience.
-The ability to obtain or maintain a government issued security clearance is required.
- Ability to coach, develop and mentor team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (strong Word and Excel skills).
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analyses of existing business processes.

**Medicaid Program Advisor in Albany, NY**

**Summary**
This individual will assist the Department of Health's Office of Health Insurance Programs (OHIP)/Division of Health Plan Contracting and Oversight (DHPCO) in development, analysis and oversight associated with the Medicaid Managed Care Operating Cost Reports for Medicaid and Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) plans, Medical Loss Ratio Reporting and Oversight as well as overall plan solvency.
**Specific duties include:**
+ Assist in the development of quarterly financial reports to collect financial information from the Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) in NY inclusive of Medical Loss Ratio reporting and oversight.
+ Review and oversee timely filing and accuracy of all MCOs financial reporting (MLTC and Mainstream Plans).
+ Conduct reviews of MCOs financial reporting and operating status, including compliance with Public Health Law, regulations and policies as well as the federal regulations.
+ Communicate findings and collaborate with MCOs to improve accuracy of financial reporting
+ Review and Evaluate plan Solvency.
+ Review and evaluate MCO expansions, mergers and acquisitions for MLTC and Mainstream plans.
+ Assist in automating and standardizing financial reports for analysis of fiscal status of the MCO
+ Develop ad-hoc financial reports extracting data, as necessary.
+ Review and evaluate MCO provider and management contracts for compliance with the financial standards and requirements in PHL.
+ Expect to supervise 1-2 staff as unit grows.
**Additional Requirements and Day-to-Day Tasks of Position**
- Strong Excel and data analytics skills.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral).

**Basic Qualifications:**
