**Responsibilities**
Main Responsibilities include:
+ Support multiple leaders and their teams to become their trusted advisor
+ Prepare Product P&Ls and key financials to drive product roadmap and overall margin optimization efforts through deep analysis of the various business, financial and other operational drivers

This position will collaborate with the sales, and operations business teams along with the financial leadership teams in support of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) for the Plains region - part of West Business Unit. This position analyzes results and plays an integral role in the forecasting and budgeting processes as well as managing revenues and expenses. This role requires a detailed understanding of financial reporting, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a keen interest in learning the DSD route-to-market and all the key business processes supporting this segment.

**Position Responsibilities:**
+ **General Ledger Month End Close** : Lead region finance while working closely with the Corporate Accounting, RGM, Supply Chain Finance, Tax, A/R, A/P Payroll, Risk and other departments to ensure the general ledger, P&L, and balance sheet are fairly stated.
+ **Month End Analysis and Financial Reporting** : Lead timely and accurate financial reporting for the Plains Region to provide detailed analysis, business insights, commentary and presentation material for Executive Leadership Team meetings and monthly reviews (business, operations, financial). Prepare monthly territory financials and other proforma financial statements as the business requires.
+ **Planning & Forecasting** : Responsible for building key components and coordination of the Annual Operating Plan, quarterly forecasts, and weekly forecasts. Load, as needed, key inputs into our financial systems including Planning Analytics and Workforce Planning.
+ **KPI Reporting:** Continuously improve metric and operational reporting to foster the development of Lean Daily Management principles and practices within our production and distribution centers. Ensure all metric and operational reporting is value added and links back to achieving our objectives and financial plan.
+ **Business Partnership** : Provide direct financial support to the Plains Region Area Directors, Market Development Managers, Revenue Growth Management (RGM) and Regional Account Directors to maximize profitability through combination of business opportunities, pricing strategies and cost management. Routinely visit business partners to understand voice of customer (account management, merchandising, delivery, warehouse operations, etc). Conduct process observations (i.e. as part of a Lean Kaizen/CAP event, Compliance Review, etc.) at distribution centers to improve financial support to operational customers, provide insights to eliminate waste and identify business opportunities, and achieve strategic and financial goals.
+ **Personnel Development & Leadership** : Manage two direct reports. Set personnel objectives, continuously provide feedback to improve performance, and develop team members in their careers. Job Description
Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.
Finance Operations is responsible for the oversight and overall performance of the following core financial processes. This includes pricing administration, rebates, cash application, chargebacks, billing, accounts payable and employee travel & expense.
**_Responsibilities_**
+ Own and oversee Pharma GPO Admin Fee and Customer Rebate accounting functions, including the following responsibilities:
+ Ensure admin fees and rebates are accurate and reasonable upon being setup in SAP Vistex.
+ Review true-up entries posted during the month for accuracy.
+ Perform continual subledger maintenance.
+ Prepare/review balance sheet reconciliations.
+ Perform month-over-month accrual analysis during month-end close; determine if adjustments are needed; keep Finance informed on research conclusions.
+ Confirm new and amended agreements are properly captured and recorded within the subledger.
+ Validate terminating agreements prior to removing from subledger.
+ Investigate aged accrual/reserve balances; independently perform action steps required to fully resolve.
+ Review and reconcile Month-End Close Tracker to ensure all Vistex and manual journal entries have been posted and accounted for.
+ Prepare Month-End Close Driver and Risk & Opportunity Summaries for delivery to Accounting and Finance business partners.
+ Establish processes and mechanisms to review and monitor quality of outsourced staff work product; effectively partner with outsourced staff to take necessary course correcting actions and leverage both the retained organization and outsourced organizational structure to take action in accordance with established governance protocols.
+ Respond to direct inquiries pertaining to GPO Admin Fees and Customer Rebates coming from both internal and external stakeholders
+ Investigate issues by conducting a thorough root cause analysis; establish preventative measures to avoid recurring issues.
+ Maintain and enhance internal SOX control structure, effectively responding to and mitigating risks, as necessary.
+ Identify, drive, and implement process improvement initiatives; collaborate with others to standardize processes and templates across Rebate functions.
+ Collaborate with business partners across the organization to properly account for transactions, including but not limited to Accounting, Finance, Internal Audit, Legal, Sales/Account Management, Revenue Management, Contracting, Standards & Compliance, etc.
+ Assists in the management of the monthly financial close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and performing timely review of results for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP.
+ Performs special projects and financial analysis to support the business needs as requested.
**_Qualifications_**
+ Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
+ 4+ years of experience in related field, including but not limited to Finance, Audit, or Accounting (preferred)
+ Strong MS Excel and Business Objects skills
+ CPA (preferred)
+ Experience with SAP, Legal Contracts, and general knowledge of GAAP (preferred)
