Finance Operations Analyst
Exciting opportunity to help take our portfolio companies to the next level by leveraging technology to continue their rapid growth.
- RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with monitoring our portfolio companies and supporting critical portfolio company special projects and portfolio-wide initiatives.
- This is a financial operations role, not an investment role.
- Own and continue to develop the firm's portfolio company reporting and benchmarking system (Chronograph).
- Build firm-wide and portfolio-wide dashboards and other reports in Power BI, leveraging portfolio company and firm-wide data in our Snowflake data warehouse.
- Perform ad hoc analysis of portfolio company data for the leadership team, the deal team, and others to share insights and trends across the portfolio.
- Conduct periodic benchmarking studies to evaluate SaaS metrics and compensation ranges across our portfolio companies and other data sources (due diligence data from dead deals, Cap IQ public data, etc.).
- Ensuring all portfolio company financial information is received on time, distributed to the appropriate stakeholders, and entered into the firm's portfolio company reporting system.
- Maintaining portfolio company reporting system by setting up new portfolio companies or add-on acquisitions, ensuring that any changes in reported numbers or classifications are adequately addressed, etc.
- Work with investment team professionals to populate and review portfolio company data in Chronograph.
- Produce the monthly Portfolio Review Report, Pod Reports, benchmarking, and other analyses.
- Analyze portfolio company dashboards and monthly reporting packages, and proactively follow up with portfolio company CFOs on key variances, trends, and issues.
- Preparing financial reports and analyses to keep our investment and operating teams up to date on portfolio company financial results and performance, including the monthly portfolio review report and MD&A analysis.
- Completing detailed financial analysis and developing financial models.
- Assisting the operating team with supporting and monitoring our existing portfolio companies.
- Assisting with onboarding new portfolio companies, including setting up reporting templates, assisting with purchase accounting, and supporting other first 100-day tactical initiatives.

- Support setting up and/or improving data best practices to provide forward-looking visibility and facilitate data-based decision making at portfolio companies.
- Build revenue retention and customer cubes to facilitate revenue analysis.

- Develop processes, procedures, and financial models to assist portfolio company finance teams with analysis, budgeting, and forecasting (i.e., cash flow forecast, budgeting/forecasting tools, etc.).
- Assisting with portfolio-wide cost analysis and savings initiatives, such as preferred vendor program opportunities in key spend areas and process improvement opportunities that can improve efficiencies.
- Developing standardized best practices that can be rolled out to portfolio companies (i.e., standard board presentation, Excel reporting package tools, budget templates, cash flow forecasting templates, etc).
- Assist with implementing IT tools, solutions, and systems to improve portfolio company finance automation, data analysis, capabilities, and business visibility.
- Working with the AKKR operating team to organize conference calls on specific topics to share best practices across the portfolio.

Job Description
The Sr. Manager - Regional Finance Leader (Sr. RFL) will support the President of the Western Division of U.S. Stores and the divisional leadership team, providing financial leadership, direction, and analysis. This leader is responsible for developing financial planning, forecasting, and reporting and leading a team of finance professionals in supporting the regional store leaders. The Sr. RFL owns the divisional P&L and plays a key role in driving functional metrics, controlling costs, and driving sales. They report to and work closely with the Director - U.S. Stores Finance to achieve business goals and create shareholder value through the planning process. This leader also manages and supports two Regional Finance Leads responsible for overseeing the financials and providing business support to the Western regions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Strategic Analysis/Problem Solving - Works to fully understand business; identify and implement process and organizational improvements. Plans and ensures execution of department objectives. Participates in preparation of the annual budget, reviews monthly expenditures and ensures that budgetary goals are met. Reviews monthly metrics to ensure goals are met.
+ Project Management- Develops and supports a strategic alliance with business partners. Participates in cross-functional activities focused on solving business issues and enhancing our competitive advantage. Facilitates cross-functional communication with other areas of the business including but not limited to Finance, Operations, and Information Systems.
+ Leads, plans, and coordinates work teams in an efficient manner to effectively perform any financial function and activity; utilizes metrics to track performance and manage workload. Ensures operational processes and procedures are compliant and consist with established policies.
+ Predict Revenues and Expenditures and Report to Management.
+ Conduct financial planning for function and make appropriate recommendations.
+ Drive key functional financial metrics.
+ Financial Reporting
**Direct Manager/Direct Reports:**
+ Typically reports to Director Finance
+ Accountable for direct supervision of the work activities of others. Planning, monitoring and reviewing work of subordinates is required. This may include direct supervision of a shift or the coordination of multiple work groups. Makes recommendations concerning selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development.
**Travel Requirements:**
+ Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
**Working Conditions:**
+ Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
+ Examples include: telephone operator and file clerk.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Must be eighteen years of age or older.

General SummaryThis position involves intermediate-level accounting and financial analysis, focusing on Financial Reporting. The role includes providing analyses to inform business decisions and participating in the development and implementation of accounting procedures to improve operations and controls.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Analyze and report financial transactions in accordance with US GAAP, UK GAAP, IFRS, and statutory standards.
- Prepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare financial statements for regulatory agencies such as NAIC, SEC, or State Insurance Regulators.
- Research impacts of proposed changes to accounting standards.
