Purpose and Objective:
SAP America, Inc. seeks a Finance Manager at our Newtown Square, PA location to lead a regional Revenue Recognition team and manage the general administration of the company's finance and accounting functions.
Expectations and Tasks:
Support Revenue Recognition specialists in complex deals and ensure Customer Success support to maximize revenue and KPIs. Ensures compliance with revenue recognition standards in accordance with SAP internal revenue recognition policies and International Accounting standards. For accounting, this includes all activities performed to meet accounting and financial reporting requirements resulting from legal obligations or SAP internal global policies/processes/guidelines. Education and Occupational Experience:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:
Experience must involve five (5) years in the following:
+ Implement controls and procedures to agreements review to maintain Standalone Selling Price (SSP) compliance;

Job Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and analyze the company's disclosures in our periodic SEC filings as compared to the required disclosures as prescribed under U.S. GAAP;
  • Lead the effort on new accounting standard adoption and documenting, in the form of memos, the Company's position on our more complex technical accounting areas;
  • Monitor, research and interpret new U.S. GAAP pronouncements and SEC reporting requirements, and assess and document the impact on the Company's financial statements and disclosures;
  • Complete and maintain financial surveys required by the US Census Bureau and other governmental bodies;
  • Owner of process improvement of certain control processes, including those within external reporting and other assigned areas such as Pension and Goodwill/Intangibles, and ability to offer enhancements/efficiencies to the existing processes;
  • Interact with cross-functional teams that include controllership, financial planning and analysis, operations, treasury, tax, investor relations, legal, human resources, internal and external audit, and others, as necessary, ensuring accuracy and consistency of information exchange including investor relations press releases, proxy statements, audit committee presentations, and other materials, as necessary;

Basic Qualifications

**Job Summary**
