Robert Half is seeking a Director of Finance for a client in the Sioux City, IA area. This role will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with financial principles and practices, optimizing internal processes, and supporting organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
+ Manage overall financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, cash flow, and audit processes.
+ Develop and monitor annual budgets while ensuring financial compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
+ Analyze and update long-term business plans and financial strategies.
+ Supervise payroll, employee benefits, accounts payable/receivable, and procurement functions.
+ Coordinate tuition-related processes, financial assistance programs, and vendor relationships.
+ Serve as a liaison for employee benefit initiatives and communicate policy changes effectively.
+ Lead the organization through the annual external audit process.
+ Foster relationships with banking providers and oversee investment activities.
+ Collaborate with leadership, finance committees, and staff to address operational needs.
+ Manage special projects and ad hoc responsibilities as required.
Requirements
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in finance, operations, or accounting.
+ CPA certification is a plus but not required.
+ Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
+ Ability to lead and collaborate with teams effectively.

**Job Summary**
Responsible for analysis of financial reports, trend, and opportunities. Includes evaluation of and recommendations relating to business opportunities, investments, financial regulations, and similar financial projects or programs. Duties include gathering, interpreting, and evaluating financial information; generating forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance and other areas of business; Creating financial models for future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development, new marketing strategies, etc.
**KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES**
+ Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for internal and external use within specific deadlines. This includes preparation, verification, and recording of all journal entries & other close documents.
+ Maintain subsidiary schedules and reconcile balance sheet monthly.
+ Supervise and direct finance staff.
+ Coordinate with auditors in their requests for financial and compliance information including regulatory, external, and internal audit review (including Sarbanes-Oxley Act requirements).
