• Advise on structured finance transactions, including ABS, RMBS, CMBS, CLOs, and whole business securitizations

• Draft and negotiate offering documents, transaction documents, and related legal opinions

• Navigate regulatory frameworks (e.g., SEC, risk retention, Volcker Rule) in both domestic and cross-border transactions

• Work with institutional lenders, issuers, underwriters, investors, and rating agencies on bespoke financing solutions

• Experience:

  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in structured finance and securitization work at a peer firm

• Skills:

Overview:

• Coordination, preparation and review of the Banks annual financial statements.
• Prepares and supports the reporting needs by RBC and RBC IHC for their reporting needs for the Banks activities and transactions
• Participates in the month-end and quarter-end close process.
• Compiles the support needed in the submission for assigned regulatory filings per FRB or OCCs reporting requirements.
• Provides PeopleSoft support to members of the Controllers Group and other bank departments as it relates to areas in PeopleSoft that financial reporting is responsible for overseeing or well-versed in. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining PeopleSoft reporting trees and existing nVision reports, building new nVision reports, building and running queries, trouble-shooting issues, etc.
• Participates in the design and implementation of enhancements to financial accounting systems and processes.
• Supports the technical accounting research projects. This role also supports the technical accounting needs of other departments in the Company.
• Assists in developing, documenting and maintaining accounting policies and procedures. Assists in the implementation of new accounting standards.
• Participates in other special projects.
• May supervise other staff members. Participates in staff development.

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience within Big 4 accounting firm or mid-tier accounting firms and/or publicly-held company required.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience required.

• Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
• Prior SEC reporting experience preferred.
• Experience with technical accounting research and documentation preferred. Ability to propose company positions on reporting and accounting issues.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills; excellent written and oral communication skills required.
• Excellent knowledge of financial accounting reporting systems and software tools. Proficiency with MS Office software suite, particularly Excel. Experience in PeopleSoft and nVision preferred.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of colleagues, both within the Finance Division and throughout the Bank, including senior and executive management, external auditors and third-party consultants.
• Results oriented with strong organizational, time management and project management skills.
• Experience in documenting policies, procedures and process flows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Build and develop relationships with Finance companies to ensure a smooth process for our clients.
Reviews loan applications in process daily and determines which loans must be processed immediately.
Evaluate case-specific quotes to ensure accuracy and alignment with financial objectives.
Performs document audit to approve or reject each loan package for funding.
Enters data from new loan applications and other documents into computer system.
Provides follow-up on a consistent basis with originators, borrowers, and agents to complete processing.
Analyzes loan files and submits completed loans for approval.
Oversees regulatory compliance to ensure adherence to all relevant guidelines and regulations.
Creates and maintains loan files.
Maintains status of all files in process and updates as needed.
Completes all required paperwork and forms in a timely and accurate manner; prepares all required reports.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the loan application process, contributing ideas and feedback for process enhancements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex client cases and resolve any outstanding issues or concerns in a timely and efficient manner.

• Vendor Master and Form 1096/1099 data coherence
• Respond to Vendor Payment query
• Follow up payment request rollover into AP Invoice workbench w/o aged Vendor invoice line items, and file payment request paperwork
• Maintain and Monitor Vendor AP weekly payment by type in OneDrive
• Monitor the USD daily cash report to detect fraudulent transactions
• Communicate with employees, vendors, dispute issues, and reconcile vendors' accounts to count spending periodically
• Multi-currency payment process to affiliates in USD & CAD
• GAIA application process for Latin America
• Backup AP month-end pre-close process

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Previous Accounts Payable experience required
• Thorough understanding of debits and credits as they relate to A/P accounting
• Oracle experience is a plus
• Proficient business software skills (Microsoft Suite and Outlook)
• Effective oral and written communication
• Excellent time management, analytical, and organizational skills; strong attention to detail

Your role as Finance Analyst

You will be working with the Operations teams and the Business Partner to ensure that all planning, analysis, and reporting are completed to a high level with succinct and actionable outputs.
