+ Facilitates clear direction to staff, dictate staff deployment. Supervises all break & meal periods with the Team Leader at the start shift. Ensures all products are ready for the daily operation of the location. They supervisors are to be present in their locations making sure associates are following all policies and procedures and providing a great guest experience. They walk the shop(s) every hour to ensure all is ready.
+ Manages all safety & sanitation standards, which include but are not limited to, hot and cold food holding time/temperatures, walk-in/reach-in refrigerators/freezers temperatures, food handling procedures, sanitation practices, staff behaviors and observing and reporting any pest/rodent activity, and shop cleanliness. They follow up on any reporting and fixing any issues that may have occurred during an audit.

Job Performance Evaluations are to be issued as appropriate.
+ Completes an accurate weekly inventory for all locations they oversee. They are responsible for controlling waste and ensuring appropriate product level. Any variances from budget need to be explained on a daily or weekly bases. The revenue and labor budget for their locations will need to be followed and any variances explained to their direct leadership.
+ Provides training, coaching, and guidance on our guest service standards at Knott's Berry Farm. They need to be knowledgeable of all menu items, seasonal offerings, special dietary needs, and redemption plans. They handle all immediate guest complaints.
+ Maintains and clean all equipment to make sure it's in good working condition. Any equipment issues need to be reported to Maintenance Control, a work order submitted, and their direct leadership needs to be informed.
+ Communicates all necessary details on an end of day report which includes but is not limited to: financial data, operational concerns, sanitation & safety, maintenance, guest and associate concerns. They need to respond to emails daily, they must printed and communicated any policy changes as necessary.Conducts preshift meetings.
Qualifications:
+ Associate's degree / vocational or technical school degree required.
+ California Food Handlers Certificate required.

- Ensures ambiance and appearance of the dining room meets standards including linens, napkins, silverware, table set-up, centerpieces, etc.
- Ensures that dining room service is in compliance with all local, federal and state regulations in relation to service, sanitation and personnel
- Supervises and coordinates set-up and execution of internal and external events throughout the property
- Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing, and prioritizing work duties
- Adheres to Sherman Associates attendance policy, grooming and appearance standards, general work rules, and department procedures
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment, follows all procedures for guests and employee incidents and is knowledgeable for hotel emergency procedures
- Attends all required department and hotel meetings
- Ensures all policies and procedures related to safety, health and sanitation standards are followed, including but not limited to MSDS information, safe work practices, infection control and universal precautions
Supervisory Responsibility
As applicable, supervises, coaches, directs, trains and evaluates staff; prepares and conducts employee reviews and completes timecard approvals.
Minimum Requirements:
- Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent customer service and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multi-lingual environment
- Having an eye for detail and creativity to look at things differently will be a key to developing the food and beverage experience
- Able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Proficiency with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Requires 1 year supervisory experience, preferably in a restaurant, club, hotel, or service industry required
- Ability to work long shifts for special events and large crowds
- Sound knowledge of restaurant management software
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with community partners, vendors / external parties, and across internal divisions

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment can be loud and busy. There are many kitchen hazards such as hot surfaces and liquids, sharp knives, and slippery floors.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to sit or stand in designated work area or other areas of the property throughout the day based on business needs
- Must have the ability to move around freely throughout the designated work area and property, and necessity varies from day to day
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach tables and kitchen, as well as other departments of the hotel in a timely manner as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 25-30 lbs. frequently throughout shift, and lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Requires grasping, writing, sitting or standing, using computer, moving about freely, repetitive motions, bending, reaching, crouching, and communicating effectively
- Must be willing and able to wash hands frequently throughout the shift

Responsibilities:
- Ensure efficient deployment of event staff to designated areas.

Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Prepare and issue written disciplinary documentation as necessary.
- Must maintain active Food Handler's Card (FHC) and Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Cert.
- Previous experience in a food and beverage supervisory role, preferably in the events.
- Excellent knowledge of food and beverage service standards and procedures.
- Strong leadership and team management skills to motivate and guide staff effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of quality and cleanliness.
