We are hiring at our **Perris Distribution Center** and looking for **Experienced** Warehouse Equipment Operators (on a **Cherry Picke** **r** , pulling orders) to join our team for 2nd Shift (M-F: 3:00pm-11:30pm, PLUS OVERTIME)!
**Responsibilities**
+ Safely operate a stand-up forklift (order selector/cherry picker) to pull and prepare outbound customer orders.
+ Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages.
+ Use technology like RF devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders.
+ Accurately and timely receive, verify, stage and stock all incoming material.
+ Clean the workspace as you go and participate with the team in keeping our facility clean, safe, and accident free.
**Qualifications**
+ Prior warehouse experience in shipping, receiving, delivery, or inventory management is required.
+ High attention to detail.
+ Comfortable in a fast paced, changing environment.
+ Positive demeanor, dependability, and strong work ethic.
+ Self-starter with ability to learn our systems quickly.
+ Ability to lift items that weigh up to 20-70lbs constantly and occasionally 100lbs.
+ Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.

**Job Description:**
The Forklift Operator II is responsible for operating material handling equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking and counting merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the forklift and may also be required to perform order filler or order checker duties in addition to his or her own. This position is responsible for operating multiple types of forklift equipment and ability to operate within a rack warehouse environment. The forklift operator needs to be able to operate **sit-down/standup clamp equipment.**
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**
- Stacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using a sit-down/standup, clamp
- Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locations
- Pulls and prepares products for shipment
- Ensures that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped
- Performs picking duties in an efficient manner meeting customer service standards
- Moves product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers
- Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
- Maintains appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and security
- Assists in physical inventories
- Ensures proper stock rotation
- Conducts cycle counts as requested
- Must have Excel knowledge plus general computer knowledge
- Basic safety understanding in operating equipment
- Responsible for reporting safety concerns to management in a timely manner
- Report inventory discrepancies to inventory control team and assists in resolution
- Must be able to complete inspection form prior operating equipment
- Must be able to use RF scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventory

**POSITION SUMMARY**
Performs warehouse tasks within the Owens & Minor Distribution Center, primarily utilizing Material Handling Equipment (cherry picker, reach truck, double reach, sit down forklift, motorized pallet jack, etc.). Unloads, receives, and processes inbound shipments. Performs bin replenishment, moves product around the distribution center to ensure efficient processing, and prepares pick locations. Accurately picks, packs, sorts and loads outbound products in accordance with customer specifications. Ensures warehouse functions are completed safely, accurately, and on-time within company standards.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
_Bulk / Parcel Picking_
+ Selects bulk items from warehouse racking using a stock picker and Voice Pick Technology and/or RF scanner.
+ Operates a forklift and picks items as high as 35 feet in the air.
+ Builds pallets and delivers them to designated area for shipping.
+ Sortation
+ Prepares sortation area by setting up pallets and carts for product.
+ Moves cartons and totes from conveyor belts and/or rollers and places on pallets and/or carts according to assigned batch.
+ Responsible for daily picking of Sm. Parcel, LTL, and TL orders.
+ Processing at workstation picked orders.
+ Picking & processing sample orders
_Loading/ Unloading_
+ Moves pallets and/or cases from reserve location to pick location using a standing reach truck, stock picker, or sit-down forklift.
+ Uses RF scanner to ensure that totes, pallets, and carts are loaded correctly onto trucks for customer delivery.
+ Uses sit down forklift, electric or manual pallet jack to load pallets.
+ Unloads pallets and cases from inbound trailers and/or containers manually and/or using MHE to include manual pallet jack, motorized pallet jack, sit down or standup forklift, and standing reach truck.
+ Accurately counts, verifies, and receives product using radio frequency (RF) equipment and/or Voice Pick Technology, documents variances.
+ Uses RF scanner to ensure that totes, pallets, and carts are loaded correctly onto trucks for customer delivery.
+ Uses sit down forklift, electric or manual pallet jack to load pallets
**General requirements for all functions:**
- Operates various MHE and follows general sequencing and process procedures.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Follows safety policies and procedures and corrects or communicates hazards to management.
- Places incoming merchandise into inventory.
- Conducts physical inventories as required.
- Counts and performs basic math calculations.
- Maintains productivity and quality standards.
- Performs additional duties as directed.
**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**
- General knowledge of a variety of basic topics (math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc.)
- Prior experience working in a warehouse/distribution center a plus.
- Warehouse/Operations certification a plus
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES**
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment and meet performance standards/individual performance goals

**ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to frequently work unscheduled overtime hours with minimal notice
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- For some functions, must be able to operate forklift and pick items as high as 35 feet in the air
- Must be able to stand and walk on concrete warehouse floors for long periods of time
- Must be able to squat and kneel often, and lift up to 50 lbs. individually or greater than 50 lbs. in a team lift
- Must be able to safely use a step ladder or stool to reach area shelves
- Must be able to safely wear steel-toed protective footwear in accordance with the OSHA General Industry standard
- Must be able to safely use a provided box cutter
- Must be able to move up and down multi-level stairways safely
- Must be able to clearly communicate (speak and understand) in English in order to operate voice-pick technology
