We're seeking a safety-conscious experienced forklift operator to move products, equipment and materials in warehouse, yard or factory.

What You’ll Be Doing:

With minimum supervision, primarily responsible for driving forklift to push, lift, tack, tier, or move products equipment or materials in warehouse yard or factory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others as assigned.

  • Reads work orders and follows oral instructions as to certain materials or containers to be moved. Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves by hand or with lift trucks.
  • Loads materials into or onto feeding devices or vehicles and may install strapping or bracing to prevent shifting or damage.
  • Conveys materials to or from storage and work areas to designed areas using lift trucks or other devices.
    Secures lifting attachment to materials and conveys load to destination.
  • May weigh materials or products and record weight or quantity on tags, labels, or production reports.
  • Check lubrications, fills fuel tank, changes batteries, or replaces liquefied gas tank.
  • May load and unload trucks.
  • Keeps all required records
  • Keeps forklift clean.
  • Follows all verbal and written instructions pertaining to material handling and any other jobs to which he/she may be assigned.
  • Empties trash on each shift.
  • If assigned to Inventory: maintains raw materials area in clean, orderly manner; delivers raw material to production line, as needed; receives incoming raw material and unload raw material trucks.

Schedule: Currently seeking weekend day and 2nd shift candidates

2nd shift 3:00PM - 1:30AM Monday to Thursday, $1.00/hr. premium

Weekend Day 5:00AM - 5:00PM Friday to Sunday, $/hr. premium

* Employees hired may train on 1st shift; startup schedule subject to change.




Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience including: using forklifts in manufacturing or warehouse setting, using computers and completing paperwork
  • Ability to achieve and maintain forklift certification
  • Available to work open shift and overtime as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on regular basis

Preferred:

  • Experience using Global Shop Solutions or similar ERP software

Essential Functions:

Nature and Scope:
This position largely interacts with equivalent levels of internal personnel. That interaction requires good communication skills and customer service skills. Effectiveness in this role also requires some knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures as well as the ability to understand and interpret team metrics. The job encounters recurring work situations of a routine nature where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position; errors in work could cause delays in schedules. This position requires the individual to be ready to start work on-time daily and maintain strong attendance performance. The incumbent normally receives general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new assignments. Equipment training will be provided through one-on-one instruction, on-the-job training (OJT), *** generated Standard Training Protocol (STP) and/or other training documentation.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:
Requires a minimum of 0-2 years related experience. Some experience in logistics with a life science company preferred. The proven ability to consistently and independently follow policies and procedures, instructions, and to meet schedules required. Must be able to operate powered industrial trucks and with the ability to operate the equipment at various heights. Need basic computer skills to navigate ERP systems, Outlook and shipping software in order to support the operation in its daily functions.

Working Conditions:

Works in a warehouse environment under various temperatures including room temperature (59-86 degrees F), cold-room (36-46 degrees F), and/or freezer-room (minus 4 - 23 degrees F). Performs work of a highly repetitive nature. Will walk, stand, reach, and lift up to 25lbs on a continuous basis. Will routinely push and pull up to 25lbs and regularly climb. May occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift up to 50lbs. May handle "packaged" hazardous materials. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Must be available to work any shift (with advance notice of shift change). Must be flexible to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed. Occasional local travel may be required. The nature of the operation's working environment is conducive to varying degrees of stress throughout the day. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

**Qualifications**
+ Capable of physical mobility including sitting, bending, twisting, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
+ Capable of maintaining an attendance record within company guidelines and working required overtime.
+ High school diploma or GED equivalency preferred.
+ Read, write and speak English.

* Perform cycle counting of inventoried materials that can include counting, recording, re-counting and data entry of count results
* Inspect inventory for defects or damages, including documentation of such into warehouse & inventory management systems
* Fill and check customer orders; including handing-off of processed packages to carriers
* Stage, process, package and ship material & orders accurately, including receipt and delivery to internal clients
* Enter data in warehouse management (SAP) programs
* Interface with and assist management, including across departments to ensure key objectives are realized
* Unload incoming material from truck shipments and assist delivery carriers with unloading of parcels
* Inspect, review, verify and record inbound material against delivery paperwork and document any discrepancies through appropriate channels
* Continuous involvement and support with departmental process improvements
* Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
* Follow and maintain 7s Program and guidelines

YOUR PROFILE
* High school diploma or equivalent
* 2 years of relevant work experience in warehousing or logistics
* Experience operating a powered 48 inch pallet rider
* Basic Computer literate
* Knowledge of WMS (warehouse management system) pertaining to warehouse activities required
* RF experience required, SAP a plus

+ Receives, stores and issues Government and Company owned inventory.
+ Performs cycle counting activities.

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Material Handlers. We have openings for two people on the first shift in the receiving department and two people on the second shift in the shipping (picking/packing) department. First shift operates from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, while the second shift runs from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
**Responsibilities**
+ Handle materials efficiently in the warehouse.
+ Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and receiving.
+ Utilize RF scanners for inventory management.
+ Load and package materials securely.
+ Maintain accurate warehouse inventory records.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in material handling, picking, packing, and general labor.
+ Experience with Forklifts & Cherry-pickers.
+ Proficiency in using RF scanners.
+ Capability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
+ Basic reading and writing skills in English (Alpha and Numerical).
