Summary:
The Vocational Services Employment Specialist II role provides support to individuals with disabilities in jobs in their communities. This includes training individuals in job tasks, assessing progress towards mastery, and developing goals and interventions to maximize independence.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: HSD/HiSet required. Two years of college preferred.
- License/Certifications: State of Maine's Job Coach Training required or achieved after hire. Valid Driver's License required.
- Experience: One year experience working directly with individuals with disabilities required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of Vocational Services - Employment Specialist I role.
- Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Travel to multiple community locations to deliver services.
- Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A

The Employment Specialist provides individualized job placement and support services to individuals receiving publicbehavioralhealth services. Based at a local behavioralhealth agency, they work both as part of that agency's team and as part of a statewide initiative to advance employment for individuals with mental illness. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Master's Degree in Education and/or Counseling (specialty in rehabilitation and/or career counseling), or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
