The Employment Program Coordinator will provide supervision, support and training to people with differing abilities served by Lumibility. Develop and implement activities that are person-centered and promote positive outcomes. Provide the environment and support necessary to promote appropriate social skills and positive behaviors that will enhance skills, enrich lives, and foster community presence and participation. Assist and support the Program Manager in the coordination of program services. Assist to ensure program operations are in compliance with agency policies and all regulatory requirements. Promote community awareness of agency services.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (not limited to):
- Assist Program Manager in the overall management and coordination of program services.
- Ensure employees and operations are in compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work successfully independently and in a team environment
- Required to work flexible hours in varying locations as needed
- Ability to drive and travel to varying locations as needed
- Ability to answer phone calls pertaining to programmatic needs on rare occasions outside of typical business hours with supervisor
- Knowledge of person-centered, outcome-based services for people with differing abilities
- Required to use agency data systems (Therap, Microsoft teams, Outlook etc)
- Assist with employee relations issues as needed, including assisting with disciplinary actions.
- Develop, implement, and ensure quality program/employment service outcomes in the individual plan of service. Facilitate employment, transportation and other activities that meet the individuals identified outcomes.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of billing, attendance and other similar financial duties as required.
- Generate, compile, and maintain all required documentation and case files. Write and submit professional quality reports in a timely manner.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, direct care staff, employers, funding sources, and all other stakeholders.
- Ability to identify, and evaluate program supports and accommodations for efficacy.
- Promote community awareness of Lumibility services.
- Ensure safety is being maintained in the work environment at all times.
- Attend required meetings and in-service training sessions and other duties as assigned.
- Ability to problem-solve effectively
- Must be comfortable covering program hours with individuals in the community with company vehicle or personal car as needed
- Ability to maintain a patient and positive attitude
Pay Rate: $23.32/hour
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Location: Westbrook
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree preferred. High School diploma required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing employment supports to people with differing abilities.
- Must be able to provide support and services utilizing community-based resources.
- Must be over 18 and possess a valid Connecticut drivers license, have an acceptable driving his-tory and be able to utilize your own vehicle for Lumibility business as defined by Lumibilitys policy.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge of person-centered, outcome-based services for people with differing abilities
Knowledge of company policies and procedures and applicable regulatory standards
Ability to read and understand policies and regulations and to translate general guidelines into specific action
Ability to providing training to department staff
Knowledge of community resources
Skill in working with people with differing abilities
Skill in operating standard office equipment, computer, and various software packages (Therap, Microsoft teams, Outlook etc)
Skill in communicating effectively in a courteous and professional manner
Skill in writing clearly and concisely to maintain accurate records
Skill in implementing programs & activities as outlined in the individual support plan
Ability to attend to the physical and personal needs of adults with differing abilities
Ability to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills necessary to provide guidance and instruction to adults with significant challenges
Ability to use adaptive and other equipment
Knowledge of Therap, Microsoft teams, Outlook etc
Knowledge of community resources
Ability to problem-solve effectively
Skill in providing direction and consult to staff in a positive manner
Ability to work successfully, both independently and in a team environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality
