SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Division Manager, the Wheelchair Van Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of wheelchair-bound patients to and from healthcare facilities, residences, and other locations, while providing professional and courteous service.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a wheelchair van in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
• Assist patients in safely entering and exiting the vehicle, including the proper use of wheelchair lifts and securement systems.
• Provide safe transport for patients to and from healthcare facilities, residences, and other destinations.
• Ensure all wheelchair securement and safety equipment is properly used and maintained.
• Perform pre-trip and postt-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate trip logs and required documentation.
• Provide a high level of customer service to patients, families, and facility staff.
• Communicate any delays, incidents, or safety concerns to dispatch and management.
• Assist with patient movement, including pushing, rolling, and sliding as necessary.

Physical Requirements:
