Full-Time Paramedic
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
This sign-on bonus is available exclusively for new full-time Paramedic hires, not applicable to current employees of American Medical Response. Details regarding the bonus agreement can be obtained from Human Resources. A commitment agreement of two years with the company may be required, and eligibility for those rehired will depend on the duration of the break in service.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary mission of this role is to deliver compassionate, high-quality emergency medical services and advanced patient care in a professional and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate each call to determine the best course of action and follow appropriate protocols.
- Utilize advanced medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction devices, intravenous fluids, CPR, and other necessary treatments.
- Employ triage skills to maximize efficiency during emergency responses.
- Provide patient care in accordance with clinical protocols and safety guidelines.
- Assist in lifting and moving patients as required for optimal care.
- Communicate effectively with receiving facilities to relay critical information and receive medical guidance.
- Perform additional duties as outlined in the complete job description.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Licensing:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid CA Driver's License.
- Ambulance Driver's License issued by DMV.
- Medical Examiner's Card or DL51 from DMV.
- State of California Paramedic License.
- CPR Certification from the American Heart Association (Health Care Provider only). Handwritten cards are not acceptable.
- ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association (handwritten cards are not acceptable).
- PALS or PEPP certification (the latter is required only for Riverside and Ventura County applicants).
- Driving record must comply with AMR Safety and Driving policy (proof required if a conditional offer is made).
- Completion of the following ICS courses is required:
- IS-100B (ICS 100)
- IS-200B (ICS 200)
- IS-700A (NIMS)

Experience:
- Previous experience in healthcare is preferred but not mandatory.
