**Job Summary**
The Acuity Brands Supply Chain Leadership Program is a two-year rotational experience that develops high-potential early career talent into impactful professionals through hands-on experience. What You Will Do

**Description**
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Becomes part of staff oversight by assuming a Lead Role when direction and Supervision is needed to compliment the Supervisors, Management and all other dependent leadership or as an information specialist during project or systems management or initiation.
+ Maintain supply inventory records by daily count and on-hand justification by performing scheduled Cycle Counts and assuring staff follows standard protocol for the issuance of supplies from the centralized storeroom.
+ Identifies expired items and goods and ensures quality of supplies maintained as inventory by verifying status of rotation using FIFO methodology.
+ Periodically inspects inventory for package integrity and performs or assures staff compliance of stores clean up, including but not limited to removal of trash and all unnecessary corrugated cardboard as well sweeping of floors on a continuous basis.
+ Assists with staff training for all inventory issuance and record keeping to track charges and flow of inventory from point of entry to the storeroom and to nursing, patient care areas and ancillary departments.
+ Participates or oversees necessary training activity of all staff as necessary for Storeroom initiatives, including but not limited to inventory maintenance and all storeroom functions as directed by department leadership and management. Assists in performance reviews as necessary and advises leadership about staff performance and improvement opportunities.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ A high school diploma or equivalent.
+ Three years stockroom experience.
+ May require valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.
+ Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
+ Some individuals in this job classification may be required to pass the DOT physical.

Job Description
The role of the **Supply Chain Technician** serves as member of the Material Management team supporting the clinical staff in the annual planning, daily management and ongoing monitoring of the medical supply expense budget which includes the coordination and provision for supplies and equipment that enable patient care in the hospital.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ This position consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (Emory Healthcare's Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to the applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Emory Healthcare's policies and procedures.
+ Manage medical supply stocking levels (PARS) within the assigned healthcare facility to include ancillary departments (does not include ASC). This includes making recommendations to par level adjustments and ordering appropriately so that supply cost per unit of service stays in alignment with the clinical unit's budget.
+ Perform physical receipt of goods and validate shipping against packing slip. This includes FedEx, UPS, and USPS deliveries in addition to capital equipment deliveries.
+ Manage outstanding backorders and receipts by executing respective queries in the procurement system daily or weekly, receiving discrepancies and communicate with Purchasing, Accounts Payable and suppliers, as needed. Manage RTVs (returns to vendor).
+ Deliver medical equipment and supplies to the clinical supply closets. Rotate and stock product as needed based on a first in, first out model. Coordinate deliveries and vendor-managed supplies (e.g. linen) with contracted suppliers.
+ Responsible for the inventory management in the clinical supply areas: organize supply areas, manage shelf life/expiring products, removing unused supplies etc.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ One year's experience in supply chain preferred.
+ Supply chain experience means experience establishing and managing par levels and storage closets (e.g. rotating stock, validating product recalls and expiration dates)
+ Demonstrated experience collaborating with other departments to research and solve complex problems.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of medical/surgical services and supplies and inventory preferred.
+ Education and Training
+ High school or GED.
+ Computer knowledge/skills required.
+ Associate Degree in Business or Health Care related preferred.
+ License, Certifications, Other Credentials
+ Essential Functions (i.e. bending, lifting, and mobility)
