Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain custom REST APIs to integrate Google Workspace with third-party and internal platforms.
  • Automate administrative tasks across Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Admin Console, etc.) using Python and PowerShell (for hybrid/multi-cloud environments).
  • Query, manipulate, and analyze structured and unstructured data using SQL, NoSQL (e.g., BigQuery, MongoDB), and other tools to support automation, reporting, and compliance initiatives.
  • Develop scripts and tools for user lifecycle management, group policies, and service provisioning.
  • Interface with the Google Admin SDK, Gmail API, Drive API, and Directory API for advanced configuration and customization.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and best practices across the Google Workspace environment.
  • Troubleshoot complex integration issues and serve as a subject matter expert on Google Workspace services.
  • Collaborate with IT, security, and application teams to align automation and integrations with business needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Google Workspace Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or related role.
  • Deep knowledge of Google Workspace Admin Console and related APIs (e.g., Admin SDK, Apps Script, Directory API).
  • Proficient in Python and PowerShell scripting for automation in multi-cloud environments.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., BigQuery, MongoDB).
  • Strong understanding of REST API development and consumption.
  • Experience with OAuth2, service accounts, and API authentication models.
  • Familiarity with cloud identity management and SSO integrations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and technical documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Google certifications such as Google Workspace Administrator, Professional Cloud Architect, or Professional Collaboration Engineer.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and tools.
  • Familiarity with hybrid environments (Google + Microsoft or Google + Slack).
