Cardiac Anesthesiology opportunity in a cardiac only model with guaranteed salary for a fellowship trained physician to join our nationally recognized multiple 3-star STS award winning care team at St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale, WA. We perform approximately 350 open heart cases a year. This position will also support a very active cardiac interventional program that includes TEE dependent electrophysiology procedures, structural heart (TAVR/WATCHMAN), and other cath lab procedures. Call will be cardiac only and taken from home with a 1:4 rotation, with a low call back rate. There is no CRNA supervision. The Electrophysiology ARNP/PAC will function as a member of the Electrophysiology Section providing both inpatient and outpatient services at UWMC.
**WORK SCHEDULE:**
+ Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours weekly)
+ Days **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:** **The Heart Institute at UW Medical Center - Montlake & SLU** provides a full range of heart healthcare and prevention services including general cardiology, cardiac diagnostic imaging tests and procedures, cardiac surgery, arrhythmia management and electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, structural heart services, advanced heart failure management, heart transplant and ventricular assist devices (VADs), adult congenital heart disease management, cardiac psychiatry, cardiovascular genetics and other advanced services. **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:**

+ Located steps from UW campus and light rail station **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Participate in daily rounds, admission, daily care, discharge of Cardiology E service patients, participate in the inpatient and outpatient EP referral clinics, as well as the ICD and pacemaker device follow up clinics
+ Collaborate with attending physician, fellows, residents and other APPs to establish patient care plans and outpatient follow-up
+ attend Electrophysiology conferences on Tuesday mornings at 7:30am
+ Encouraged to attend Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery conferences on Wednesday mornings and Cardiology Grand Rounds on Friday mornings and any other conferences of the Electrophysiology Section
+ Support the electrophysiology program by arranging appropriate pre-procedure studies, laboratory tests and performing admission history and physical exams when patients are admitted for their procedure
+ Assist in the discharge of these patients following their ablation procedure and provide outpatient follow-up under the direction of the EP attending physician
+ Help to maintain the ventricular tachycardia (VT) and atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation program databases. **REQUIREMENTS:**
+ Master's Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
+ Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive privileges
+ License to practice as an RN in Washington State
+ National certification as a Nurse Practitioner
+ BLS certificationOR
+ Licensure as a Physician's Assistant in the State of Washington
+ National certification from a national certifying body (NCCPA)

The UW Medicine Outpatient Surgery Center at Harborview is a five operating room surgical unit with supporting pre-operative, post-operative, and sterile processing departments. The anticipated opening date to patients is January 2026.
**ABOUT THE UW MEDICINE OUTPATIENT SURGERY CENTER**
The new Outpatient Surgery Center opening on the Harborview Campus is located on the 4th floor of Ninth and Jefferson Building (NJB) and will open January 2026 to patients. The Surgery Center will feature 5 operating rooms, 12 pre/post bays, and sterile processing. Hours of operation will be Monday through Friday with no holidays, weekends, or night hours. The Center will offer same-day surgery procedures utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to our community of patients that meet the necessary criteria. This reflects the Center's innovative, patient-centered culture, supporting ongoing operational efficiencies and quality improvements. The goal is to provide a seamless, low-stress surgical experience for each patient, surgeon, and staff member. The unit will provide a soothing environment with natural lighting and patient privacy.
