The Director of Marketing, Demand Generation will lead Avant-garde’s marketing strategy with a singular focus: generating qualified leads from hospitals, health systems, and ASCs. This role is about creating a pipeline through executive engagement, event-driven marketing, and multi-channel campaigns.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of reaching and influencing healthcare executives (CEOs, CFOs, CMOs, COOs, and service line leaders) and can translate strategy into measurable lead generation results. This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing and building out the marketing team, reporting directly to the executive team and working in close partnership with sales, product, and customer success.
Drive Pipeline Growth – Build and execute demand generation campaigns that consistently deliver qualified executive leads from hospitals, health systems, and ASCs.
Lead Conference Strategy – Own pre-conference outreach, on-site presence, and post-event engagement to maximize ROI from industry events.
Engage Healthcare Executives – Design marketing initiatives that resonate with CEOs, CFOs, CMOs, and other senior decision-makers.
Run Multi-Channel Campaigns – Manage webinars, ABM programs, email, and digital channels to acquire and nurture leads.
Measure & Optimize – Track KPIs across campaigns and events, report impact on pipeline, and continuously improve outcomes.
Collaborate Across Teams – Partner with sales, product, and customer success to align marketing with company goals and ensure consistent execution.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in marketing, communications, or public health a plus.
Minimum 4–6 years of B2B marketing experience, with at least 3 years directly focused on healthcare provider organizations.
Demonstrated success in engaging hospital and ASC executives and driving measurable pipeline growth.
Experience in digital health, SaaS, or healthcare technology strongly preferred.
Expertise with HubSpot and familiarity with Definitive Healthcare, ZoomInfo, and other marketing intelligence platforms.
Location & Travel
Outstanding remote candidates will be considered.

Position Summary
The Email Marketing Automation Specialist plays a key role on the Online Engagement Team within University Marketing and Communications. This person develops, implements, and optimizes advanced email marketing campaigns to Support Fordham University's enrollment goals and to attract the next generation of Fordham students.
This role requires a strong grasp of marketing automation principles and expert technical skills with Slate CRM. As part of an integrated, cross-functional marketing team supporting enrollment, the specialist will use Slate's features, like personalized communication journeys and audience segmentation, to guide prospective students through Fordham's recruitment funnel and continuously improve strategies for maximum conversion
Essential Functions
Strategy & Planning:
Collaborate with the AVP for Enrollment Marketing and University Admissions leadership to develop comprehensive email marketing strategies aligned with institutional recruitment goals.
Map out complex communication journeys within Slate, considering various prospect segments, stages of the enrollment funnel, and program interests. Stay current with email marketing best practices, industry trends, and Slate updates to ensure innovative and effective campaign execution.
Campaign Development & Execution:
Design, build, and deploy a high volume of automated and ad-hoc email campaigns, including drip campaigns, newsletters, event invitations, and personalized communications, primarily within Slate.
Develop and manage Slate Liquid Markup for dynamic content, personalization, and conditional logic within emails.
Create and manage custom Slate queries, rules, and events to segment audiences accurately and trigger appropriate communications.
Ensure all email communications adhere to brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and CAN-SPAM regulations.
Develop and implement A/B testing strategies for subject lines, content, calls-to-action, and send times to optimize performance.
Slate Expertise & Management: Serve as a primary expert user of Slate for email marketing automation, including but not limited to: deliverability, deliver, campaigns, forms, queries, rules, and portals.
Manage and maintain email templates, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all communications. Collaborate with Slate administrators and the Office of Information Technology to ensure data integrity and seamless integration with other systems. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to email deployment and tracking within Slate.
Reporting & Optimization:
Monitor, analyze, and report on key email marketing metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, deliverability) using Slate's reporting tools and other analytics platforms. Provide regular insights and recommendations to optimize campaign performance and improve ROI. Conduct audience segmentation analysis to identify opportunities for more targeted and personalized communications.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with content creators, graphic designers, and other marketing team members to ensure the timely delivery of assets for campaigns.
Collaborate with admissions counselors and other stakeholders to understand communication needs and incorporate feedback. Communicate campaign performance and insights effectively to various stakeholders.

This role is essential for implementing the roadmap set forth by the Email Strategy Manager and Email Campaign Manager, focusing on increasing awareness and generating demand among key stakeholders.
The Marketing Automation Coordinator will be responsible for developing emails in Eloqua, performing quality assurance on all assets, managing Eloqua assets, and overseeing project management for Email and SMS tasks. A continuous drive to enhance current workflows and improve efficiencies is crucial for success in this role. Strong organizational skills and the ability to document solutions are also key requirements.
They are looking for a hard-working, driven individual with impeccable attention to detail. Staying up to date with industry innovations, trends, and best practices is vital.
