The Division of Medical and Dental Directors, Bureau of Medical Review is recruiting for a Healthcare Organizational Operations Administrator 1 to assist the Bureau in day-to-day operations for the Center of Operational Excellence. The Bureau of Medical Review is responsible for prior approval and pre-payment review of medical equipment and services, policy development as well as fraud, waste, and abuse monitoring for the New York State Medicaid. The Center of Operational Excellence focuses on process improvement resulting in cost savings and staff efficiencies.
**Duties include:**
+ Review medical claims according to written procedures
+ Answer routine phone calls about claims review activities
+ Escalate issues & complex claims

+ All other activities as may be deemed necessary
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ High School Graduate or Equivalent
+ 3 years' administrative experience
**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Ability to be flexible, innovative, and work independently
+ Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to handle internal and external calls/inquiries

This individual ensures efficient and effective departmental operations, including management of technical supervisory personnel as well as oversight of safety/quality assurance measures.
