This position is for currently enrolled Medical Assistant students in an accredited program.
The Associate Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) In Training works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing basic patient care to assigned patients. Basic patient care needs will be met though both administrative and clinical duties. This role is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.

HOME CLINIC: Open positions are located at various clinics across the Tri-Cities Area including Richland, Kennewick, Pasco, and West Richland. We will discuss current open positions and your preferences during the interview.
The Job utilizes a combination of skills including:
- Taking patient vital signs
- Update patient medical records including medications, allergies, and other information
- Utilize a variety of clinical skills including injection administration, assisting in-office medical procedures, specimen collection, and point of care lab testing.

Associate Medical Assistant
Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training and Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants Or
- Coursework/Training and Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program Or
- Coursework/Training and Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces Or
- Coursework/Training and minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration Or
- Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
- Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 months Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment.
- 6 months Previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR).
