- Provide support under the guidance of licensed NP/PA providers.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Perform IV starts and blood draws (as allowed by state regulations).
- Apply splints and provide wound care.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate point-of-care laboratory equipment.
- Conduct EKGs as needed.
- Assist NP/PAs with daily operations of a mobile care delivery unit.
- Document medical information accurately.
- Manage supply stocking and organization.
Essential Qualifications:
- Medical Technician with IV Certification and valid VA EMT License.
- Candidates with a bachelor's degree in core or lab science and 2+ years of experience in chemistry and hematology, particularly with i-STAT devices, are encouraged to apply.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate multiple flights of stairs.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
