Job Purpose
Under general supervision, plans, coordinates, and provides professional public health nursing assessment and person-centered care planning to individuals, families, and groups in home and community-based settings.
Essential Job Duties
* Provides nurse monitoring for the In-Home Aide Services Program
* Provides nursing assessments, person-centered care planning andreferral services to individuals, families, groups, and institutions.
* Reviews Maryland Department of Health Long Term Services and Supports Tracking System (LTSS) assessment requests upon assignment of cases.
* Contacts assigned clients/representatives timely.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in nursing.
OR
Graduation from an accredited diploma school of nursing;
Plus
At least one year of professional nursing experience.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate in arts degree in nursing:
Plusat least two years' professional nursing experience.
Additional qualifying education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
Preferred Experience
Experience working with a Maternal and Child Health Program and/or Infants and Toddlers Program
Experience working with families of young children with special needs

Licenses and Certificates
Possession of a valid license to practice as a professional registered nurse, issued by the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses, is required at the time of appointment. Possession of a valid driver's license equivalent to a noncommercial, class C Maryland driver's license is required at the time of appointment.

ChristianaCare is searching for a Lead Sterile Processing Technician to lead the operations of a shift within the Sterile Processing Department. Oversees staff to meet the production goals of the Department while assuring policy and procedures are maintained according to established guidelines. Serves as liaison and resource for staff and customers regarding sterilization, processing of surgical instruments, and sterile instrument storage. Participates in the Christiana Care Health System Focus on Excellence programs and departmental performance improvement issues. (This is a working Lead Technician position.)

Senior Nursing Students, Nurse Graduates and new RN's, now is time to apply for our Union Nurse Residency Program: Progressive Care Track! This is a rolling application available for all start dates.
The ChristianaCare Nurse Residency Program is accredited with distinction as a Practice Transition Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs.
Research demonstrates that new to practice nurses completing a structured and accredited residency program leads to:
- Increase in competency
- Reduction of error
- Reduced self-reported stress
- Increase in job satisfaction
Therefore, we are committed to supporting all registered nurses with under one year of experience through a nurse residency specialty track.
This exciting curriculum integrates:
- Lecture and simulation education
- Peer support
- Up to 16 weeks (as determined by your individual transition to practice needs) of preceptor-led clinical experiences structured to foster critical thinking, evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, effective communication, quality and safety, and professional development.
The progressive care nurse resident will complete preceptor-led training on our step-down units at our Union Campus. The nurse resident completes preceptor-led training followed by continued residency meetings during months 6, 8, 10, and 12 to further develop as professional nurses and integral member of our caregiver team.
Upon completion of this program, participants will have built a strong foundation for nursing practice in a fast-paced, challenging environment, bridging care for medically complex patients outside of the Intensive Care Unit.
Nurse residents are required to pass State Boards and be licensed as a RN in the State of Maryland (or compact state) prior to starting position. Upon hire, a commitment agreement to work at the ChristianaCare will be signed. The agreement requires completion of a two years with the requirement to remain on the unit of hire for a minimum of 15 months. Individuals unable to fill this commitment will be charged $10,000.

Requirements:
- Graduating from accredited nursing school (BSN Preferred)

Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred. For all nurses hired after 2012, Bachelor's degree required within 3 years of start date.
Licensures/Certifications:

CONTEXT OF THE JOB:
Student Health Services (SHS) is the primary student health unit on the University of Delaware Campus. Situated within the Division of Student Life, SHS provides essential services and support to students and campus stakeholders to enhance the development of personal and social responsibility and to foster safe, healthy, inclusive, and supportive communities at UD. SHS partners with students and staff to encourage student success and engagement, a culture of care for all members, values-congruent decision-making, and the cultivation of skills and knowledge so students may become citizens and leaders in our increasingly global society. Staff members support the Mission and Vision of Student Health Services as well as those of the Division of Student Life to ensure student success.
Under the general direction of SHS primary care providers, the Nurse I provides and coordinates comprehensive primary care and services to the student population. The Nurse I operates in a clinical setting, assesses patient and associated needs, implements intervention plans, and evaluates response. The Nurse I collaborates with other health care team members and/or community services, as appropriate. This position will provide experience and growth potential to serve additional nursing roles.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Participates in and completes orientation alongside an experienced nurse, tailored to support the transition into this entry-level role.
* Obtains health histories and performs brief physical assessments on a selected patient population, including acute/chronic medical problems, as per provider-approved protocol.
* Utilizes the Electronic Medical Record for scheduling appointments, charting encounters and any other documentation regarding the care of the patient.
* Reviews medical records including laboratory results and immunizations and consults with the primary care provider, as appropriate.
* Provides patient education and instructions within area of specialty to patients, families, health care staff, faculty and students.
* Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.
* Maintains supplies in areas of work, i.e., exam rooms and the procedure room.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* State of Delaware Licensed Registered Nurse (or RN licensed in a compact state), and a graduate nurse or a nurse with up to three years of nursing experience.

* Knowledge of patient evaluation, CPR, patient care charts and patient histories, drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration and primary care principles and practices.
* Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
* Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community and rapidly changing technical environment.
